On gaia? When I first started going on there, it was 20K for a MC. Then the normal price something was at was around 34k. That's the price I bought some items earlier this year that were MCs. I think it just depends on the item and the demand of the item.

Really? You now get to choose which item you want in the Monthly Collection Presents. It's quite nice. You can also now just buy a specific costume trunk and not have to buy the trunk and open it for the trunk you want and whatnot.
