Stars? What kind of wings does your adult cheer have? So far there are three different sprites for the adults: Plain Gold wings; Red and Green banded Gold wings; Gold banded white wings. I have two plain gold cheers. ^_^ But I love them. |
I have a white with gold stripes :) and I don't know what my hatchling will turn out to be

Everyone there called them YuleBucks, and the male of a deer/raindeer breed is called a Buck, so. . .
And it will never be four. It was four once, and he brought it down to two. SOmeone was talking about how they used to have four of the '08 YuleBucks, or the '07 Hollies, and then the limit was enacted and they lost two of them. |

Freezing won't change your limit. You'll just have a holiday dragon that can't breed.

No clue. But my guess is this:
For most non-rares, people only breed four of them--two breeding pairs, if they can do it. Then they stop. The other thing people like to do is freeze hatchlings. I don't. But if you freeze a hatchling, they can't breed. So the point of a limit was that extras have to go to other players--no one gets an exclusive domination of the breed, and even the slower connection players have a chance because the fast players can only have X many as well. So even if the grab it, they can't hold onto it. TJ probably noticed that people stopped breeding them, or kept freezing them. Both lead to the same thing: newer players/other players can't get a hold of them. So TJ did what he did to get them back into breeding. Or he realized that it would be too difficult for new people to get things like Hollies--which are almost OUT of circulation--because everyone would try to get their quota of four before letting less fortunate players even get one. Mind you, this is all theory. We would have to read up on the site to learn the truth. |
Mmm.. it's a sound theory, and I wonder if that's it. Still, whatever it is, I like it. TJ made a good choice! =)
