Ah, but say you have three hatchlings and threes eggs. You'll get locked if you pick up one more of either.

So let's say you grab another hatchling. Now you have four. What happens when the eggs hatch?

Everything stays on your scroll. Basically, you can have infinite hatchlings growing up on your scroll. And someone once said that if you get passed the 5 eggs, the system gets tricked and you can keep getting more eggs or something. That I wouldn't try--to keep breeding and breeding and breeding.

But I've hunted for hatchlings and eggs and locked on eggs after getting three hatchlings. The eggs hatched and my already there hatchlings stayed put. I'm trying to get to the point where I'm always cycling through growing hatchlings and eggs--so that I always have something that's growing/maturing on my scroll.

But I'm new. <.<;; You could alway sign up for the mentor project there. I need to go and apply for a mentor with them. XD They have mentors for the game and the forum, or both. ^w^

Well, you could always try the arcade xD I know that's what I've got to do if I'm going to get all the event shop items I want before the event ends.

@Lynn: Ah-ha! Got ya. I just get eggs that I don't have dragons for when they show up, assuming I have the room for them (which I run out of sometimes xD)

Yeah I read that in the forums after I posted that. I'm a bit of a hoarder on DC so I am always going to have something growing on my scroll so long as they don't implement a max number of dragons you can have at one time XD

It's rather pointless to even bother with a limit because the limit would have to be extended every time new dragons were added >.>; That is unless the limit was set ungodly high and no one achieved it unless they had like 10+ of every species.

A limit on the number of dragons on a scroll would defeat the whole point of the game--to collect as many as you can.

But a limit on the number of growing hatchling and eggs? . . . I hope it never goes lower. >.<;; That would be what gets people to leave.

Or suddenly losing a ton of dragons from their scrolls. I heard someone in the DC Forums mention they used to have four yules way back when. Then when the new limit came out, they lost two of their yules. Things like that would cause rants throughout the site.

I was merely saying of how horrible it would be but I like that there is no limit and I am pretty well free to collect dragons to my heart's content, the limit on hatchlings and eggs aside.

So what's up people?

I'm tempted to freeze one of my Cheers when she grows wings, the gendered hatchling looks so adorable! O_O Probably the best hatchling I've ever seen so far. But I won't be mean, I'll let her grow up properly xP

that is definitely the most adorable hatchling. I wish I had managed to grab one now. But alas, i'm going to be gone for like a week anyway, so that would have been bad for it.

O.O Why? Too much drama?

When I say breed, I mean I'm not going to put myself on any of those lists. I'm just going to breed them, and people will have to catch what I toss. Basically, because you can't hoard them, I know my babies will go to someone who doesn't have them/doesn't have two of them.

So I like helping people. They get a dragon they never had before, and next year they get to breed them with the rest of us. If the eggs or hatchlings die before reaching adulthood, that would be sad, but part of the game.

But if a trading option did make it into the game, then I would scan the lists of those looking for an egg. I'd need to know their connection speed, and how long they had been playing though. I feel bad for the people with slow connection/who are bad at catching things.

Nah, just my OCD at work. I like my dragons to be parentless and childrenless, or if they have parents/children, the dragons must also be on my scroll and not from another source. When eggs get leaked out from my scroll, I usually release the dragon that bred them.

Lucky me, I don't suffer from that. I just like to adopt everything I can off of the AP, since there's a huge wall most of the time. That said. . . I don't seem to be breeding anything. XD Just grabbing eggs off of the AP.

OCD sucks in cases like these. I nearly drove myself crazy when the Yules got leaked out, I even had dreams about it for two days in a row. I wasn't expecting to have produced Christmases with him when I bred him...I was expecting Stripes...damn Christmas timing >_>;
