Depending on what kind they used. I've had the kind from walmart and its bad. But I had some a head chef made at a college and it was great. It's like everything else, cheap is not best.

Homemade fondant is really good. It is really think and stiff. Kind of like a blanket so if you don't like it you can peel it off.
