Usually I'd go and sit in the bathroom because It's nice and cool in there, but there's an awful stink in there at the moment which makes me feel worse

Maybe you should open a window in your room. Cool breezes sometimes help...

Why is you scared? well either spray the bathroom with nice scent or lay down listening to music
