I did stop coloring manually because it made pictures load crazy slow...Plus they looked too hobbyist anyways.

My PC Specs :

AMD Athlon 64 2.20GHz processor (Single core)
ATI Radeon X1600 PRO 512Mb 128-bit
Windows XP Pro (32-bit)
3GB of Samsung DDR 333Mhz RAM

And Corel Painter runs pretty laggy depening on what size of canvas I use, and I tend to use large canvas to work at high resolution and have crisper lines.

So compare your specs to mine, and you should know if Painter will function or function well.

JessiFlakes 01-02-2010 02:33 AM

Rad: I don't know what I have on either of my computers, so that didn't help. Lol

Rad Lionheart 01-02-2010 02:34 AM

You should find out.
What model and manufacturer is written on it somewhere?
I can look it up and find it's specs.

Wrenja 01-02-2010 02:34 AM

high five for xp <3

Nessie 01-02-2010 02:36 AM

If you go to any My computer icon, right click and look at Properties and you can see your CPU and amount of RAM at least.

Wrenja 01-02-2010 02:37 AM

i have an intel dual core whatever and 4 gigs of ram. Ugh I love my 4 gigs <3

JessiFlakes 01-02-2010 02:37 AM

My desktop is a Dell, whatever, but wouldn't be able to handle it and I know it. It's old and crapped out.

My laptop is a Dell Latitude E6500.

But you don't have to look, Rad. I'm not that adamant about getting it any way.

Nessie 01-02-2010 02:39 AM

i just got that in my new comp now wrenja! ^^ ish sexy <3

Rad Lionheart 01-02-2010 02:39 AM

Well alright.

Wrenja 01-02-2010 02:40 AM

I got it.... a little over a year ago for my birthday, man having 4 gigs was like... freeing.

JessiFlakes 01-02-2010 02:40 AM

Thanks anyway, Rad. <3

Claudia 01-02-2010 02:41 AM

I ...so hate hobbyist quality work. I showed someone my portfolio and they said"great hobby!".
I mean I guess if that's the truth it hurts that they called my artwork hobbyist quality...BUT if my work IS hobbyist quality, then I need to accept it and keep working until it's pro quality.

Rad Lionheart 01-02-2010 02:42 AM

I wish having 3GB was much different from 1GB, but I've got cheap, slow, shitty RAM, so the only difference is...nothing, really.

If/when I get a new PC, it'll have some damn fine RAM, cause I'll be needing it.

Nessie 01-02-2010 02:43 AM

yeah the brand of RAM makes a big difference too~ ^^

Wrenja 01-02-2010 02:44 AM

yeah it does. I can't remember the name of the ram i have but it was what everyone told me to get xd

Nessie 01-02-2010 02:47 AM

my bf is a big Crucial fan, but we're trying Mushkin atm heard good things about it.

Wrenja 01-02-2010 02:52 AM

yeah, Crucial. That's what they made me get.

Rad Lionheart 01-02-2010 02:53 AM

Corsair, Kingston, and some other brand, I can't recall the name to.
Are leading contenders in desktop RAM.

Wrenja 01-02-2010 03:01 AM

did it just get quiet or is my live thread messing up?

oh it got quiet.

JessiFlakes 01-02-2010 03:02 AM

It's quiet in here...

Nessie 01-02-2010 03:03 AM

yeah its quiet lol

Wrenja 01-02-2010 03:05 AM

Nessie 01-02-2010 03:07 AM
