Sumerian Manic 01-02-2010 08:16 AM

@Jennifer I believe it's school, or something to that effect...

Arikana 01-02-2010 08:17 AM

Jenn! =D How are you tonight? :)
And you actually know how to ballroom dance?

Yeah, it sucks, doesn't it.. Luenola.. D: Has it ever happened to you before?
I'd love to be a neenja, Luenola! 8D But what are we stalking again? o.o;

Wrenja, it sounds like you really should get out of there as soon as possible! *nods* When does your studies for the program you're in finish?

Naoto-chan22 01-02-2010 08:18 AM

Kie:Yes I got hit my it a lot in school, funny English is my first language yet I have almost failed it every year I have taken it...

Kierys 01-02-2010 08:19 AM

"What a terrible shame! I was always excellent in my English classes, but I'm afraid I'm slipping, being out of school for so long. And online interactions aren't helping terribly much either, I confess."

Luenola Marxiel 01-02-2010 08:20 AM

A number of times, actually, Arikana. Oddly enough, usually in subjects I'm not fond of in the first place or am indifferent to. I don't recall having had a dreadful teacher in a subject I loved dearly, which is very fortunate, but I've certainly had terrible teachers making already dreadful subjects far worse. XDD"

Wrenja 01-02-2010 08:20 AM

Ari~ I'm not actually in school right now, I was taking a break to decompress from the messed up year I had, and so far it's not turning out so well... *sighs*

But I've got a seasonal job that pays really well. I'd rather stick it out for the money/ resume fodderti, it's only until mid april. I was going to stay here until June, but right now, I'd take freezing rainy Seattle over this place no problem :\

Naoto-chan22 01-02-2010 08:21 AM

Kie: I just never had good English teachers also I got too hooked on phonics....

Sumerian Manic 01-02-2010 08:21 AM

It seems that the thread has quieted down...

Wrenja 01-02-2010 08:21 AM

Sumerian~ Abel just left, so yes.

I have had a few bad teachers myself. I once got a uhm, I'm not sure what's it's called anymore. Where they make you do the work and everything, and even if you do well, you get an F anyway? That was in the fourth grade. And it turns out the teacher got into trouble, as her assumptions about me cheating was definitely wrong.

Kierys 01-02-2010 08:22 AM

"Strict as they were, my English teachers were always fabulous. I think a year or two at my high school would have done you some good. Have you ever attended a small school? Our graduating class was no more than thirty people."

Naoto-chan22 01-02-2010 08:22 AM

It was dieing when Abel was here I think its because it getting late and were not like Sumerian who is up all night....

Kie:all me life elementary was 25 people in my grade and high school was 95 in my grade

Sumerian Manic 01-02-2010 08:23 AM

*frowns* Silly that the thread should slow down simply because Abel's left... Or because people need paltry things like "sleep" >.>

Luenola Marxiel 01-02-2010 08:23 AM

While I said that in jest, Arikana, I was referring to stalking Abel and Lise to catch them when they happen to get into some verbal sparring, lol.

Ah yes, Malakani. Netspeak, the death of the English language. *laughs*

JessiFlakes 01-02-2010 08:24 AM

Goodbye, Abel! <3 Lovely chatting with you!

Naoto-chan22 01-02-2010 08:24 AM

*noms.....*I doon't know what to Nom on Sumerian since "she" is skull less T_T

Kierys 01-02-2010 08:24 AM

"Even when I don't engage in it, I think it affects my grammar and spelling. It's rather terrible. Yet I am guilty of the occasional netspeak as much as any person. To my everlasting shame," she says, hanging her head.

Luenola Marxiel 01-02-2010 08:26 AM

I think small schools are lovely when they offer what you want to learn. It's difficult to get much variety when you're catering to such a small student group. =3

Naoto-chan22 01-02-2010 08:26 AM

Kie:Its okay we all do it from time to time*pats back*

JellybeanInc 01-02-2010 08:27 AM

NAO! *glomps* Hi darling. How are you?

*waves at everyone else* Hi guys.

Kierys 01-02-2010 08:28 AM

"True, on both counts, ladies. For instance, Luenola, I only had Spanish available to me as a second language. And while I excelled at it, I can't say I can speak very much at all now, for lack of practical use. If I lived in California, this would be an entirely different story. And as for the Arts, well, not much was offered in the way of those until our darling lady of the trees came and taught for a year. I do so miss her, but she married and moved away."

Her eyes light up as they spot yet another familiar face in the dwindling crowd.

"Jellybean! Darling!"

She waves her over into the Silly Corner.

Wrenja 01-02-2010 08:28 AM

I think I'm going to crash here after this song... or maybe the next >.>

Naoto-chan22 01-02-2010 08:28 AM

Helly I'm good how are you??*feels that Helly is stalking here*

JessiFlakes 01-02-2010 08:29 AM

Oy... I am SO lost. xD

That was how it was like for me with French. The teacher I had in grade one was icky, but the next year the law had been changed and French was only mandatory to be taught from grade four to nine (inclusive), so I enjoyed grade two and three immensely cause it was French free and I hated it back then! Then grade four came and I hated it even more, same thing happened with grades five, six, and seven.
But when grade eight came, I loved the teacher I had cause she was so nice! And easy! >w< We watched a lot of movies with French subtitles, played a lot of French games, and just had fun! <3
When grade nine approached, I was worried I would hate French again, but I found out I didn't have to take it if I substituted it with another course.. so I jumped at the opportunity and made the biggest decision in my life so far that I would always regret. D:

I'm sorry you have to deal with such horrid roommates, maybe try and sit down to have a serious talk, but if it doesn't go well.. just ditch them as soon as possible. But if/when you do talk to them.. then don't mention you not liking it here or wanting to leave, see how they react to you and your feelings about how they treat you first.
