This is so Milos!
Username: BellyButton Entry: (Colors, personal craft) Silver and Gold Foil/Paper Star Wall Hanging http://i.imgur.com/lDVAe5x.jpg My Entry fits the theme because: Winter activities in Milos are heavily influenced by the seasonal dwindling of daylight hours. It affects their daily work and shifts community activity from a time of primarily outdoor labor to a time of primarily indoor reflection and recuperation. Holiday decor in Milos tends to include a mix of silver for the "outdoor" light of winter ~ the moon and stars ~ and gold for the "indoor" light of winter ~ candles, hearth, home. (Apologies for the horrible photo - my phone doesn't like the metallic shine. >.<) |

Username: BellyButton Entry: (Colors, personal craft #2) Wine (Purplish Red) and Gold Wristcuff http://i.imgur.com/TFFffsp.jpg My Entry fits the theme because: At community holiday gatherings in Milos, it is customary to wear the colors of your trade. For winemakers, this is a vivid wine-colored purplish red. Sometimes a family will have members from several trades, so their garb will include other colors as well. In this example, a simple woven (*cough*crocheted) wristcuff reflects one particular family's purplish red for winemaking and gold for grain (farming). |
Belly pulled out the yarn!! I'm glad you did :D I can't believe you made that so fast O/O It's beautiful!

This is so Merkhet!
Username: Mageling Entry:http://cdn.decorpad.com/photos/2014/...b7cba9728.jpeg My Entry fits the theme because: It reminds me of gold leaf on papyrus, and of sun on desert sands. This is so Merkhet! Username: Mageling Entry:http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps58b85320.jpg {proof picture} My Entry fits the theme because: This is made in the classic Merkheti colors. |
This is so Milos!
Username: zigbigadorlube Entry: https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8661/...4bafaf7f7b.jpg My Entry fits the theme because: It goes with both the pastoral and Roman elements of Milos. The green color and branch form is representative of the residents' connection to nature. |
I'm filling in for Cora tonight. Day 2 is official over! Please stand by while I change things over to day 3.
|
*excited to see Day 3's theme*

This is so Milos!
Username:~LONGCAT~ Entry:http://i.imgur.com/KaakqL7.png My Entry fits the theme because: I found two images and mushed them in one. These are traditional clothing worn during times of celebration. Both men and women wear flowing garments as sign of a time of leisure, as flowing clothing would get in the way of working in fields. The rich purples and reds for the vineyards, the gold for the grain fields, and island wealth. ((These are also traditional Phoenician clothing. I was going to do a whole Phoenician theme but I missed day one and two)) |
This is so Dainae!
Username: Abel Entry: http://www.deadlyvintage.com/clothin...d-dress-11.jpg My Entry fits the theme because: This elegantly cut gem encrusted dress eludes to a dragon scale texture and reminds me of the opulence of Dainae. |
OMG Crafting/ drawing clothing. hmm.
*goes to see what she can do* |
