Butter one side of bread, put it down in a pan , toast it a bit, put a piece of cheese on it, then stick another piece of bread on top with the side facing you buttered, that way when you flip it the bread doesnt stick and gets toasted. when both sides are golden brown it's done

My mom always sprays the pan with PAM as well.

Yeah you can do that, depends on the type of pan you use. I have a cast iron skillet I use for stuff like that and as long as I dont ever wash it, it's pretty much as non stick as you can get lol
