I would have to disagree with you in this situation. The landlords here are crap and they don't give a damn about their tenants. I've had some very dangerous situations in my apartment due to neglect from the landlord. The city has so many laws but the landlords just don't follow them and they aren't enforced. V_V

I lived in upstate New York for 2 years and never visited NYC. Furthest south I went was Buffalo

Which kind of pissed me off because while I was working I had to pay a NYC tax -.-'

Well you have the state tax, federal, and then a NYC tax -.-'
I've been through buffalo several times, but it was either at the airport or on a bus.

I think tax is normally like .875 in Buffalo area but it's like .8759 in NYC. I could be wrong though. Last year I ended up owing the IRS taxes because the rates were so high.

That sucks =/
