Kitsune37 12-26-2014 03:12 AM

Kat Dakuu 12-26-2014 03:12 AM

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 03:12 AM

Kat: the lap desk sounds awesome. keep from getting burned. My hun and I got computer fans to keep our comps cool. I've not heard of nail pens before. Those sounds cool. Have you tried nail marbling?

Linnea 12-26-2014 03:23 AM

my bedroom is so cold this time of year that my lap top never over heats! it's convenient and sad at the same time

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 03:25 AM

cold? what part of the world are you in?

---------- Post added 12-25-2014 at 07:30 PM ----------

I don't mean to be rude, just curious is all.

Linnea 12-26-2014 03:31 AM

i live in maine, on the east coast of the united states! really close to the ocean! i love that part and i can smell it from my windows in the summer

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 03:39 AM

mmm, reminds me of summers as a kid. Waking up lakeside. Smelling the water, woodsmoke, whatever was cooking that morning. Taking morning showers in chilly water. Swimming midday. Going fishing some summers near the ocean and getting that salty smell on the air.
There was one summer we went crawdad fishing and things went bad one day. We went out in our 15 footer before the warning went out on the radio. 30 ft swells were coming in and close to shore. My cousin, granddad and the kids rode in that boat to check the traps. The waves were rocking our boat something fierce. One wave came up and hit us leftside. I, unfortunately happened to turn facing the wave when it hit getting a mouthful of salt water. No amount of pepsi or licorice at the time could clean that taste out. Struggling, we made it back to the dock with cuz's expert driving. Just as we were coming in we heard over the radio the storm warning. Also, just as we were coming up, a small chinese flatboat with two people were going out. I tried to wave to them to turn around, but they didn't understand me. Thankfully they came back soon and weren't hurt.
Thought I'd share that, since you got me remembering Linn.

Linnea 12-26-2014 03:58 AM

that sounds like a good memory, although pretty scary! i'm glad you all made it back to shore ok!

do you mind if i ask where you are from? or where that memory was?

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 03:59 AM

I'm from Oregon, and most summers we went to the west coast or a lake in the state.

omg...skidmark reminds me of when I saw Rocky Horror this year and one of the guys was dancing in tighty whities....let's just say there was some sort of fresh surprise....and it wasn't pleasant to view.[wha]

Oregon! I lived for a while in Portland and Astoria!

Linnea 12-26-2014 04:02 AM

oh oregon is lovely. i drove straight through the state, north from seattle, wa to south into reno, nv. it's some of the most lovely scenery!

Woodlandnymph 12-26-2014 04:02 AM

That coast. <3 <3 Super amazing, I agree.

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 04:03 AM

rofl!! Rocky Horror fresh surprise, that sounds like a sequel or something. Poor guy bet he felt embarressed when he found out. I actually live in Portland, been to Astoria a few times.

Linnea 12-26-2014 04:04 AM

what if he did it on purpose?

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 04:04 AM

Then I would be worried, and partially afraid.

---------- Post added 12-25-2014 at 08:09 PM ----------

what do you like about oregon Linn?

---------- Post added 12-25-2014 at 08:14 PM ----------

*pokes the room* anyone here?

Woodlandnymph 12-26-2014 04:18 AM

I love Portland <3 <3 I stayed in NW Portland right next to the park and rose garden.

Yeah. Oh man. We were dying. That poor guy is right. Always ah...wipe properly kids.

salvete 12-26-2014 04:19 AM

I'm still here! Distracted by the television but still posting occasionally.

Kitsune37 12-26-2014 04:22 AM

lol sounds like you had fun nymph.
yay another person.

Linnea 12-26-2014 04:34 AM

what did i like about oregon? well i didn't spend much time, but for the drive and i spent one night in a hotel but i can't even remember the name of the town i stopped in. i just remember oregon being quite majestic and such sweeping multicolored mountains. there are very different than the mountains here in maine; more rocky
i could go find the place if i go get my atlas. but it's in the car. outside.
