Well it just depends what we are doing
as far as art goes. Some things are harder then most things we draw.

Kat Dakuu 12-26-2014 08:00 PM

I wonder if I should try to finish any art before the end of the year. I usually try to be productive at the end.

MoodyBats 12-26-2014 08:06 PM

I say go for it!
I am going to try to get art done by at least the end of january or febuary. [XD]

Kat Dakuu 12-26-2014 08:07 PM

I can try I guess. Not sure which piece I want to work on though.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:08 PM

True. She complains about drawing males she says hers come out looking like boobless girls

MoodyBats 12-26-2014 08:08 PM

@Kat
Why not make a new one?

@Akio
Yeah I am not good at guys either.
But I did buy a book on males so maybe it'll help.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:10 PM

She has been looking at male specific tutorials lately. I wish you luck on getting better at males. :)

MoodyBats 12-26-2014 08:13 PM

Tutorials never really helped me much.
Which is why i had asked my dad to buy the book for my as my birthday gift.
And Irene Flores books have been a huge help to me and my art.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:15 PM

Thats neat I will have to tell her about that maybe they could help her as well.

MoodyBats 12-26-2014 08:17 PM

I definitely would.
Irene Flores has about 3 books.
But all are very useful.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:20 PM

Awesome I will be sure to tell her about them then. She is always looking for ways to improve.

Awesome.
I definitely recommend these books then.
They also tell you what tools you can use and such as well.
So I find that very useful.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:25 PM

That does sound very useful indeed. She will love the suggestion I am sure.

MoodyBats 12-26-2014 08:27 PM

Mhm.
what I found useful in these books as it also tells you how to put more depth into
your line work. So that is my goal. To get better with line work.

But I am sure she will love and improve her art[if she feels she needs to]
with these books. :D

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:31 PM

Awesome. Like I said she is always saying she wants to learn new ways to make it better so I am sure it will be a welcomed bit of info.

MoodyBats 12-26-2014 08:32 PM

Yeah.
Does she do digital or traditional art?

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:34 PM

She does both but lately has been more focused on traditional and leaning more towards realism because she said its the one she is weakest at.

What's wrong with that? XD some of my characters look like that hehe.

And fuu, it would be more productive to finish something for once.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:39 PM

I dont think she has issue with the fact she can draw them like that. I believe it is more so the inability to not draw them like that if the character calls for it.

Haha yeah you are right about that.
I do have a habit of..not finishing anything.
I need to break that habit.

But since I am getting my laptop very soon, I feel I am going to finish
a lot of art soon.
my laptop is like the source of all of motivation and inspiration
so I think Once I get it, I will finish art like it's no big deal. [XD]

Ah. the books I have by irene flores are more of shojo manga stuff like anime but maybe it will help her. I am not sure as I am a digital artist. [sweat]

And I want to make my own comics.
But of my own stories.

salvete 12-26-2014 08:41 PM

And so rewarding!

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:42 PM

Oh that sounds fun. She loves manga style shes also been working on a chibi style.

Kat Dakuu 12-26-2014 08:43 PM

I need to get a little better about my body types so guys and girls have more variety, but I don't care that much.

I think I'll do my sketch I owe shadami and call that enough art for the year.

Akio Shentoshi 12-26-2014 08:44 PM

lol that sounds like a plan Kat.
