Actually I was good at Art History. I took a few of those classes for my art minor.

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 09:09 PM

O__O how were you good at it?

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 09:09 PM

I think I got A's? The one I took was like a super intense winter course but I was so glad that I took it like that because it actually made it so much easier just focusing on one class at a time.

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 09:12 PM

I think the highest I ever got on a test in my second art history class was a 76. I always had my spanish and art history tests back to back on the same day too. So I failed Spanish because I spent all my time studying for Art history. All it is is memorizing hundreds of names, dates, and places every week or two. The first class was at least interesting and less to memorize.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 09:17 PM

The art history professors I had were pretty understanding. Not a lot was based on the dates and the names I could usually get okay.

See, that's a smart way to have a math class, Ziggy. I'd do way better in high school math were that the case. But I had to take a certain level of math cause I was going for a certain diploma (we had 4 levels of diplomas).

I looove history. Not American history though, unless it was colonial/French and Indian/Revolutionary War era.... They just make the mistake of white washing it and teaching it dry in primary school. I never liked English and writing till I was in college/ a senior in high school though. I was always a science-y history artsy fartys gal.

No one will ever remember history if it's just a lecture on dates. Give em the juice details....intertwine it with what you study in Literature classes....if someone is science minded, talk about various discoveries and the historical context. If I was a teacher, I'd never just lay it down all boring like.

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 09:24 PM

the majority of art history programs are like that though. It's the standard accepted practice, far more so than any other history course.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 09:26 PM

What was your favorite class?

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 09:29 PM

Me? fiction writing courses.

how do you have negative gold...?

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 09:42 PM

I edited one of my posts. >.>

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 09:48 PM

That's some crazy editing then.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 09:54 PM

Well I had nearly zero gold to begin with so not really...

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 09:59 PM

I thought you had more than that and it was still a fair bit negative there and you're already a decent amount positive. You been posting a lot or something?

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 10:02 PM

I just posted to a roleplay right after so it all worked out.

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 10:08 PM

Ah. rps tend to do that.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 10:09 PM

Yeah, they are good for the goldies.

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 10:26 PM

And the entertainment.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 10:27 PM

That too, lol!

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 10:30 PM

I wish I had more rp. Like, more really awesome ones, not more eh ones. Those are the ones that are easier to get though.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 10:31 PM

Yeah. I recently started a new one. My partners keep wandering off...

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 10:34 PM

It happens. I have a lot of patience for that though. Much less for subpar quality.

Kirin Rosenbaum 01-01-2015 10:34 PM

had a friend who was one class away from getting her associates in photography but never completed it because in one class the textbook had pictures of naked people.

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 10:42 PM

O. o That's unfortunate I guess.

Kat Dakuu 01-01-2015 10:52 PM

So? It's artistic nudes. Quitting a degree just for a few pictures? Why not push through and make all your effort worth it?

zigbigadorlube 01-01-2015 10:53 PM

Yeah, and it wasn't like they were in person or anything, it was in a textbook...
