Play EVERY game! [illgetu]

Dystopia 12-26-2014 04:38 AM

ugggh the time.

Elirona 12-26-2014 04:39 AM

I wish I could just play video games for money.

Dystopia 12-26-2014 04:41 AM

Be a pro gamer?

Elirona 12-26-2014 04:46 AM

That's too much work, though! #lazy

Maha-Aamir 12-26-2014 06:08 AM

i haven't been playing games...
only collecting stamps

Dystopia 12-26-2014 07:25 AM

If gaming for a living is too much work, how do you hold a job? D8

jupiter 12-26-2014 07:35 AM

I think that once you start turning your pleasure into work, it loses its appeal. And pro gaming, I'd imagine, isn't as cracked up as it sounds. There are probably a lot of deadlines and demands on time, plus you're probably in competition with every other person who thinks they could do your job better, and possibly for a lower price. Kind of like the art world.

Work is too much work.

Dystopia 12-26-2014 07:41 AM

:c So much for "Get a job doing what you love." I guess it would be like setting your favorite song to your alarm to wake you up in the morning. xD;

jupiter 12-26-2014 07:46 AM

I feel like the only people who say that are people with money. It would make sense to do something you love over something financially applicable.

Dystopia 12-26-2014 07:48 AM

People in general seem to throw that quote around a lot.

Then I'm all. But I like eating. I can't eat if I don't have money.

Maha-Aamir 12-26-2014 08:20 AM

i don't work... I am a full time Mommy [angel]

Dystopia 12-26-2014 08:30 AM

... That is work. D8

I so agree. ;_;

Also, I think one thing people might not realize about playing games for a living is that it's not like you're always doing it for fun. There's deadlines to meet and very likely you're going to play more games you don't care for than ones you do.

Dystopia 12-26-2014 08:38 AM

I thought most pro gamers played only one game professionally. o_o

Liztress 12-26-2014 08:40 AM

They might. I'm unsure about those. I'm talking more about the people who review games or test them out.

Dystopia 12-26-2014 08:44 AM

Oh. I was thinking like the pro League players. xD

Liztress 12-26-2014 08:46 AM

I wonder if they ever get tired of playing that all the time...

Dystopia 12-26-2014 08:50 AM

Well... I've managed to rack up like 5000 games, and I still play. So maybe not?

Liztress 12-26-2014 08:52 AM

Good point. I just don't think I could do it myself. Then again, I'm getting old and don't seem to want to play all the time like I used to.

jupiter 12-26-2014 08:52 AM

Kind of a waste to focus on only one game, don't you agree? And from what I've noticed, they're often these first-person shooter games. Something you can count for points, and speed.

Dystopia 12-26-2014 08:53 AM

... Do you actually grow out of games? THERE'S STILL HOPE FOR ME?

I tend to see more for LoL, Smash Bros, and fighting games.

It's likely a phase I'm going through. Give me time and I'll be eyeballs deep in ALL THE GAMES! xD

Dystopia 12-26-2014 08:57 AM

No hope. xD

Liztress 12-26-2014 09:01 AM

But that's good. Right?
