Oh, dear. I'd be worried too. We have a neighbor down the road from us, that I know has some medical issues, and anytime I hear sirens, I worry it's her. :(

hiya Liz! love the color blending of your av! so creative

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:06 AM

Thank you, Alicia. :) And howdy to you as well!

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:08 AM

I tend to get worried whenever I hear sirens. :U

Vanora 12-24-2014 02:08 AM

Liz: - We had a neighbor like that a few years back. I think he must have passed away because the last time the ambulance came, it was the last we heard of him. :/

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:11 AM

:( That's sad.

Vanora 12-24-2014 02:13 AM

It is. I hate thinking about things like that though.
I'm a very emotional person, and things like that get to me.

Every time I hear a siren, I think "Oh god what if" and then my mind goes wild.

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:14 AM

I'm the same. Especially if I know the people or it's kids and elderly people involved. :(

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:17 AM

The old man who lived across the street was healthy as a mule and then keeled over suddenly. Was the strangest thing.

Vanora 12-24-2014 02:18 AM

Mhm. :c
We didn't know him personally, but we would see him sometimes and we'd say hi or wave in greeting.
When it's kids, it's worse for me. I just can't deal.

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:19 AM

It always seems out of the blue when someone is as healthy as an ox and then they pass away. :/

AliciaNwonderland 12-24-2014 02:21 AM

so sad :( especially around holidays when its so nice to pull your loved ones near to you for visits and remembering past good times

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:23 AM

Oh no, he didn't die during the holidays. It was in the middle of summer or so.

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:23 AM

Yeah. Deaths around the holidays are the toughest, I think.

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:23 AM

Yeah, totally.

Vanora 12-24-2014 02:24 AM

It certainly dampens the mood and spirit. :c

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:27 AM

Not much to be done about it. :C

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:27 AM

Mhm. The day after Christmas is tough on us since the boyfriend's mom passed away on that day. :( If it wasn't for the kids, we'd likely not celebrate it as much.

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:27 AM

Oh my, that must be a tough one to deal with.

Liztress 12-24-2014 02:29 AM

It is. Though, I think it's gotten slightly easier over the years. Or we do a better job at not showing how it affects us. :/

Vanora 12-24-2014 02:29 AM

That's really rough. :/ I can't even imagine going through that.

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:30 AM

Have you ever considered discussing it with the children?

We have. I'm meaning more for the boyfriend's siblings and step-dad. The boys understand what happened and we've told them that she's still watching over them.

Elirona 12-24-2014 02:34 AM

Ah, okay.
