Thanks can I ask you for a bit of advice? I'm trying to get my hair to match my outfit more as I'm not happy with the color. What I currently have is #72c8ee #e1e0e0 and if you could come up with numbers to get it more the dress color I would greatly appreciate it.
|
I know I'm butting in, but I figured I could offer to help.
Did you know that you can screenshot your avatar, paste into paint and then using the Edit Color button, which gives you the Red/Green/Blue 3 digit numbers, you can switch over to the Hex code using the Programmer version of the basic Windows Calculator? The code for the lighter part of the dress, near the middle is: #A7DBFC When matching the hair to a part of my avatar, I pick two shades of the color I want. Like a lighter and darker part of the skirt, and use those numbers |
what now? i have no idea what tod o thening s you're saying... though now that I think about it maybe I should try matching the shoes...
---------- Post added 12-26-2014 at 04:33 PM ---------- so how do i get the hex codes? |
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps45c9d483.png
You copy your avatar into paint Use the eyedropper to select the color you want Then click Edit Color to see the color codes Then open the standard calulator Under View, switch to Programmer mode Then type in the Red: 167 With the number in, switch from Dec to Hex mode It will give you the first two parts of the color code A7 You do this with all three colors and it puts together the full code (The one shown on the image is for the Blue code) This is how I do it, there could be other easier ways, depending on if you have photoshop or some other program I only have MS Paint to work it, so that's how I do it |
i don't have photoshp on this computer
|
You don't have to, if you have MS Paint you can do as the image shows
Or I can try doing it for you? There can be some trial and error as to what color codes work out depending on what hair style you use & other factors |
thanks much better with the explination.
---------- Post added 12-26-2014 at 04:42 PM ---------- I got it now. But could you PM me the info don't need the picture. |
Oh good, I was hoping I wasn't failing at explaining [sweat]
Sometimes you get the exact code you want right off Other times if the hairstyle has a different highlight pattern you have to try a couple times to get the effect you want |
Well what do you think of it.
|
I think this shade of blue better suits your avatar.
It's a softer blue that you had before. |
Yes and it matches the shoes.
|
Oh wow, it looks great with the Mad Monk background!
You could maybe think about making the lighter of the two colors (if you used two) a little bit lighter so there's more of a light blue/white color up top? The hair almost melts into the trees and the overall look is a bit blue top-heavy. But that's just a suggestion! |
second color lighter... can do
