I just can't afford to get one with out a job.
The first bento I had was only $10. Granted the quality wasn't amazing but it functioned. There are definitely affordable options out there if you look!
Still no money.
Maybe you will get some money for your birthday or something.
Yeah.
I tend to get a lot of gift cards for my birthday/Christmas because they are easier to choose/mail. ^^;
I got craft supplies and other stuff for Christmas.
Ooh, that sounds like fun! Do you know what you plan to make with them?
i got a unicorn haircomb, pokemon alpha saphire, link amibo, ferrer roche, lots of fabric (including unicorn fabric of my own design) and some fancy tea. oh and lots of money.
Ooh, sounds like a pretty good Christmas!
totally! and i already have plans for the fabric. the unicorn fabric im going to make into a dress (i have the pattern and i have already cut out the lining) the money is going towards the zippers i need, and brown fabric for the bunny dress im making and then the rest goes towards the new coat im planning on making. i want to have fur cuffs and the furr that i want is $27/yard.
how was your haul? i didnt read it if anyone asked. but i did see that Kirin got craft supplies. nice. |
Oh wow! You must be super good at sewing! I can sew simple things but definitely not stuff like a coat!
Hm, lemmesee... I got a Intuos art tablet and Puppycat plush from my fiance. From his family I got the bento box, some gift cards, Bath and Body Works minis, and a travel perfume container. From my coworker I got a gift certificate for a one hour deep tissue massage. [squee] And from my family I got a Baymax figure, a pretty princess pony toy (from my little sister, LOL), some more gift cards, more Bath and Body Works stuff, candy, a box of Cereal, and a cat clock. |
oh the bento box! i did read that one. jelly. oh and a deep tissue massage, nice! and a box of cereal? that's unique, that's for sure.
It is my first attempt at a coat. I am still trying to find the right pattern. here let me show you what i want to do and what i have so far. you just have the imagine different colours. the green in this would be black and the brown fur would be white with black and grey spots. http://i.imgur.com/Qa3QdP5.jpg pattern so far: Products for Patterns of Time but its not quite right... so im still lookings. i might just end of doing one of these instead: Products for Patterns of Time or Products for Patterns of Time or (me person fav but i have sever hesitation due to the yardage required) Products for Patterns of Time |
Oh wow! That looks like a helluvah lot of work! Oh yes, I forgot that my mom sent me a toothbrush as well, to go with all of that candy. I ROFLed at that. [rofl]

so which pattern do you like best?
Cards of all sorts. If anybody is interested I'm planning to make some wintery ones for people on here.

Do you mean like Christmas cards Kirin? |
so the one i like the best too? the one that requires 141 yards of fabric. damn it... i dont have that kinda money.. or talent... poop. it is the best though isnt it?
what about this one: http://www.patternsoftime.com/prodde...sp?prod=AG1797 the skirt can be work open and tied back or close and like a full length coat. options are good right? |
That one looks nice too! It's all about finding a happy medium for your budget/talents. [yes]
yeah... i think they are all very nice. but i agree, that pretty pretty one is just better by so much... arg... i think i might have to work my way up to it though.
Maybe if you do it a little at a time you can manage it.
its a matter of affording the yardage. its a heavy velvet type fabric, which makes it great for the winter, but very expensive. about $20 a yard. and for 141 yards.... thats a lot of money.... if you read it, the pleats are supposed to be silk... again $20 a yard... i just dont have that kind of money for a coat.
i think in the end, this one is the most practical. it has pockets, is adjustable in the length and is very pretty. http://www.patternsoftime.com/prodde...sp?prod=AG1797 I will keep looking, but i think tats the one im going to go with. |
Well good luck to you! I'm heading out now. Bye for now.
