Yeah... it got to the point where I almost left, mid semester.... Because of how much they mistreated me. Yet the dorm people really will not do anything about it.. -.- And I don't trust the RAs to remain impartial because from what I've got from them - they're besties with my roommates and will side with them... and refuse to listen to me when I try to explain and basically tell me that I need to "suck it up and deal with it..." because they can't do anything. -.-

Let me go and try to find a pic of Lewicki - her dog. :] I've got a few. He's freaking adorable!! <3 His name sign - given to him by Amanda's roommate, is like the sign for bear but only with one hand and with an L instead of the claw shape. :P (Which probably makes no sense at all to you - which I realized after writing that out. Heh.)

It's north of LA...it's a nice area... I just HATE cities. so I can guarantee I would hate San Diego too... -.- I just hate hate hate... the city. D: Like hate with a passion. Like at home... we NEVER have sirens around... 24/7... during the night... etc... it actually has REAL seasons, and real cold that is proper right to complain about. Rain that lasts for longer than half an hour, and no one complains about the temp when it hits 70 as being "cold".

I dislike cities too, but LA city and San Diego city are pretty different. San Diego is much more laid back and quiet while LA is...not. Granted, I wouldn't want to live in either. I was just curious mostly because you said it was loud and I could not remember where northridge was.

The city is the city... no matter whether or not it's 'busy' or 'laid back'. I hate it either way. I've had more over stimulation headaches from noise since moving down there than I've EVER had... EVER... I'm not in LA proper... And it's in a good part of town, compared so some of the nearby cities, but it's still stupidly busy and never quiet... here at home... I can sleep through the night with NO sirens... and it is so wonderfully amazingly quiet... I am dreading having to go back down to school. D:

LOL the weather stuff is usually why people like it here, but I can see that point too. I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Iowa for three years for college. I absolutely HATED it because it felt like never ending winter to me. It wasn't just that it was "cold", but just because I am used to sunshine damn near 24/7. And then on days when it was like 70ish out people complained about it being hot and I was just like "Uh, no." So, I can at least understand that.

But yeah, the siren thing is because you are near LA. I live in southern California and I rarely hear sirens. Area is a big thing here. 10 miles can create a whole different scenario. And I am not saying that your hatred of cities is unfounded. I actually agree that cities are pretty crappy. I am just saying the city you live near is ESPECIALLY crappy.

Yeah... but 70 is not COLD! Omg... from where I am from ... I have lived where it is almost 0 during the day... now that is something to complain about. I've been outside when it is about 10 degrees out - in so many layers yet shivering.. 70 is NOTHING to complain about... AT ALL. It makes me want to scream at people "IT IS NOT COLD!! GO LIVE UP IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA..." no. So I'm so sick of people who complain about it being cold when it honestly... IS NOT.

Yeah, well... I hate it.. -.- I'm so close to not even going back down... not even getting on that plane to come back down in 15 days... -.- I do not like it at all... -.- I am a country girl from Northern California and I hate it down in SoCal (just being honest). I don't like it.

And when I lived in that place where it was that cold during the winter... quite a few of my classes... WERE OUTSIDE. Not inside. And classes were RARELY canceled.

Yeah. Classes didn't get cancelled in Iowa either, but I like the cold so it wasnt a big deal. I just don't like sub-zero temperatures for 5 months straight. That I do not like.

I really liked Northern Cali when I visited. It was beautiful.

That's about what I lived in as well.... And I had riding lessons and having to go out into FROZEN ICEY dry lots to get horses... in the freezing snowy weather. and having to shovel out horse stalls in the snow... ugh... makes me shiver just thinking about it.

Where in Northern California? Lots of places up here. [yes] I MUCH prefer it over Southern California... -.- I'd pick it any day. [yes] And my tiny little quiet town where there are NO sirens hardly ever.

We visited a boyfriend of my mothers family in Humboldt. That place was neat.

Oh, nice! So not like inland - you were out on the coast. Hours from where I am, way inland - near Tahoe, and Yosemite. [yes]
