That sounds about right. I've been lazing about the house most of the day, too.
I went for a walk earlier with the dogs, and slipped right into a very large puddle! I just totally underestimated its depth, and because it only looked like ice, I just went in, ankle-deep. |

It's erosion. Plates shift and water wears away the earth, and it just sinks. It's so wet here that the hole would surely fill with snow and water, and it would be the most beautiful swimming hole.

Oh yes, I remember you had mentioned that! I think it's kind of strange to meet someone who doesn't, or cannot swim...I just never thought there were people who couldn't. Kind of odd, huh? I really loved swimming as a kid, and once I got to swim in the ocean...boy, was I sold.
And I imagine sinkholes are terrifying. |
