I hate stores & employees like that.
Don't blame you at all, I would just ask for a refund on the unused stuff & tell them why & what the other store said. You might get lucky & get to talk to a good manager who still cares about the customers.
We have gotten to the point where would rather pay a little more to get better service & better quality stuff than deal with some stores.
Sadly Miscreant & I both got giftcards to one of those stores that I don't like to go in because it has become so big that they don't know how to treat their customers.
I refuse to go anywhere near it during the month of December because that is when their worst customers seem to come out.
I think the last time I really went in there was to look at the after Halloween clearance stuff for some costume bits.

he's still not movin' and groovin'
now car equalls butt probage!
he cries theminute he sees it

i misses mose of the first meds this morning
he's so stickie and his fur looks a mess now
i have to figure out a better way to do this
liquid meds are just discusting to use

there is a site you can trade giftcards
i forget the name but i'll look for it

In case you didn't know: Coinstar has machines now where you can trade in gift cards for cash vouchers. Although they have to have a minimum $10 balance, and they only take certain ones, but still. I know they're in Food Lion stores now(and I should know, lol).

Two words: call corporate. There's always a customer service number or website URL on your receipt. Call that number.
