I am excited to just be out there in California.

LA sounds like a lot. I've lived in big cities for the past several years, but LA big just seems like a totally different ballgame.

That sucks that you didn't tell me that you were in Minnesota. >:C We could have done something cool!

It's really pretty in MN, especially in the fall and winter. Right now it's -5F with a windchill of -17.

LA is a LOOOT. It's a nice city, I love visiting, but I've never lived there, so I am expecting a major culture shock once I move. xD Especially since I am from a small town here in MN, I live in a suburb of the major city, so its quiet here, lots of farmland, lots of cows.. I can see the stars at night and hear planes very clearly.

I can only imagine how crazy it will be to live in an apartment and not be able to see the stars at night because of smog and city lights!

Ooh it's gonna be such a different experience.

A really good friend of mine is from Winona, in southeastern MN, and she went to UMinn for undergrad and was super helpful in helping me know where to go and what to do. I loved it out there, and I was out there when the leaf change was at 98% peak or whatever! So gorgeous.

The day I landed it was 75 degrees, same as home when I flew out. By the time I left MN had its first snowfall, just a small one, and boy am I glad I packed a winter coat!

I love Minnesota autumn! It's so beautiful. :)

I remember the first snowfall! It happened pretty early this year, but it didn't last very long. I was worried we wouldn't have any snow for Christmas this year!

I did all kinds of stuff - went to a bunch of museum in Mpls, saw a show at the Guthrie theater that was amazing, I went to a show at First Ave, and saw a show at the Palace Theater in St. Paul too. I stayed in Airbnbs through my trip with locals, just a couple nights in St. Paul and the bulk of my trip in Mpls. I really really like it out there. I stayed in the Uptown area (some small neighborhood called Whittier technically?), and I stayed in Northeast Park... I really wanna go back!
