How do you celebrate the Day, Ava?

Amane 12-30-2017 07:29 PM

Nia's the twin daughter on Raven's Home.

hummy 12-30-2017 07:30 PM

Oh I like Raven

Amane 12-30-2017 07:32 PM

Ye. She's one of the moms on a new Disney show now.

hummy 12-30-2017 07:34 PM

Wow how is that possible that she's a mom

Amane 12-30-2017 07:34 PM

It surpriseth thee that Raven playeth a mom?

Ava The Vampire 12-31-2017 02:15 AM

Ohh! I remember her!
I have only seen one episode of Raven's Home, which is weird because I was so excited for that show but then I recorded the episodes on my DVR and I forgot all about them... >3<

Amane 12-31-2017 02:33 AM

I watch Disney like it's my faith, brother.

I just celebrate by making sure that people in my life are aware of how special they are. :)
And I like to eat yummy food too!

hummy 12-31-2017 04:35 AM

I was wondering if there was a traditional dinner/ceremony or something.
i'm not being disrespectful, just curious. like I love the Jewish sadar*spelling*
I think we would all be more inclusive if we shared traditions with each other, ya know?

Amane 12-31-2017 03:35 PM

An Ava would celebrate simple to keep to the real meanings of holidays.

hummy 12-31-2017 03:39 PM

Sadar is simple and traditional

Amane 12-31-2017 03:41 PM

My mind readeth that as "SAY-dar," but I know not what Jewish tradition of which thou speakest, so I cannot correct thy spelling.

hummy 12-31-2017 03:59 PM

it is spelled seder

Ava The Vampire 12-31-2017 05:53 PM

I don't know the "traditional way of celebrating Kwanzaa...
I think in a traditional sense, there is usually candles that one lights every day, a lot like Hanukkah, and then there is a special table that you put out on Kwanzaa and you put fruit and corn and such on it to symbolize growth or something?

When I sang at a Kwanzaa event in 2010, I remember there was a special table with the food and there was a lot of candles around it. :) The food wasn't traditional African food either, it was literally more like African American food, so there was a nice spaghetti with meat sauce, collard greens, cornbread, chicken, etc.

I don't think I ate anything.

marnie 12-31-2017 06:08 PM

that's nice though you start your own tradition. And the Italians always mug muscle in on everyone's tradition with their pasta

Ava The Vampire 12-31-2017 06:40 PM

Hahaha, yeah. :D
I don't mind, though... Pasta is good! [drool]

hummy 12-31-2017 06:51 PM

I'm glad. I would love to make you some homemade pasta. I can make spaghetti I can make gnocchi and I can make some of the thicker strand pastas to PapioDeli although I do think I prefer angel hair pasta and that I can't make there's a couple other ones but I really can't remember the names of them it's like Ocho it has to do with ocular like an eye but I don't really remember the steps
that was a little too much information wasn't it?

Ava The Vampire 12-31-2017 06:53 PM

Oooh! I didn't know that you made homemade pasta, hummy! That's super cool. :D
My favorite is angel hair too! :d Sooo tasty!

Amane 12-31-2017 07:22 PM

I like my spaghetti with the seasoningless sauce and meat chunks.

hummy 12-31-2017 07:50 PM

Yes, Italians are big into child labor. I also know how to make raviolis and pierogies. I do love eating pasta and I actually do like making it too but it's very labor-intensive it's so much easier just to buy a box

Amane 12-31-2017 07:59 PM

Hamburger Helper lasagna!

Ava The Vampire 12-31-2017 08:01 PM

Ewwww. Hamburger Helper?! [puke]
I have never liked Hamburger Helper!
