My daughter used to have an app that allowed her to place her phone near the speaker and it would identify the song playing and the artist.
I use google to find songs by partial lyrics.

I also use google myself, that app never seemed to like my singing XD

That's the one I had, but it didn't work that great. It had a lot of issues with background noise. It was a long time ago though I'm sure hers is better :)
