I have some things downstairs, in the cupboards I'm thinking I might chuck it. I got dark chocolate chips and fake sugar to make her some cookies but she was never well enough for them so I still have them downstairs. My mums started cleaning out the kitchen, I'm worried if she finds them it'll upset her.

Dark chocolate doesn't have as much sugar as milk chocolates. I has a higher coco mass. Dark chocolate is anywhere between 60% coco mass to 100% Coco mass. I like 70%-80% myself anything higher than 80% is better for cooking anything above 72 % is going to have a more bitter taste. Most milk chocolates tend between 40% to 55% coco mass. That leaves a lot more room for other ingredients including sugar.

And COCO is the reason dogs can not have chocolate. It causes them and other animals who can not digest it properly have seizures. If you want to give your dog something chocolaty give them Carabu.
