Hello everyone, and welcome to Project Mene's Halloween Invitation!

For those of you who do not know about Project Mene, let me give you a brief introduction. Project Mene is an elimination based avatar contest created by Donna in the Avatar Chat forum that has since been taken over by myself. Each cycle (we're currently taking applications for CYCLE 7!) there is a panel of three to five judges, and ten contestants who compete in challenges until a final winner has been decided by the judges! Each cycle is based around a theme, so that each challenge fits together. For past cycles we have used a "Green" and "Toy" theme for our challenges. This is an open invitation to you all to join in and try out a different kind of avatar contest! To apply for either a judge or a contestant position, please follow the appropriate links listed below in our Links menu!

As well as being a walking advertisement for our contest, we're hosting a little avatar contest of our own for the holidays! There are three different categories of contests for you to enter, and you will be judged accordingly to how well your outfit fits each category and how much I like it. To enter the contest, just make an avatar that's fitting to one of the three categories listed in the second post and your entry will be updated to fit! Make sure when submitting your entry, you fill out the appropriate form so I don't get confused!

There will be three different contests, all of which are very straightforward. The challenges are simple, and listed as such below. To participate, please create an outfit based on the theme given below, and submit the forms in the first post by posting them in this thread with your finished entry to play! Prizes are as follows:

The T-o-T contest is very simple. Create any outfit that you would like in the spirit of Halloween. Any given Halloween-themed outfit will work. Make sure that you can tell it is a Halloween outfit otherwise it will not be accepted.

Hello Seiki! How are you?

Hey Winter : )

I'm doing pretty good. Doing laundry actually. And trying to figure out what to do for my costume super last minute. Its either go as a tacky dead person (for the fifth year in a row) or try making a super quick Jack Skellington outfit and just dress in black and white haha.

xD haha, I do not really celebrate the different variations of halloween. Haven't since I was around 8. xD

I just woke up not to long ago actually. I did not get to sleep until 7 this morning because I was trying to comfort a friend whose dog just died. :/ He was really upset and trying to figure out why the death of his dog bothered him more than his grandmothers death...It turned out to be a very awkward conversation. I don't do comforting well, but I guess it is good we are both a little cynical. xD

I am just trying to find places to chat and actually participate in this event.
I am a little disappointed with the event commons. :/

I know what you mean about the commons. I usually expect more from Halloween, but whatever.

And yeah, that is sad. My mom has a theory about why the deaths of animals are more painful to us than the deaths of humans, and its because she says they're more loyal to us than humans are, and that they always forgive us for everything that we do wrong whether they like it or not. They're a constant companion and that's why when they leave us its so much harder. But that's just her theory.

And I don't really do much for Halloween. I like to hand out candy to younger kids who come trick or treating and stuff, but that's why I need a costume, so that I can feel more included.

Hm, i guess that is sort of the gist of what I told sai, by telling him about the only two human deaths that have bothered me. One because it was unnatural and much to soon. The other was my opa because he was the only family member I ever completely trusted and had full respect for. Animals I give the same accreditation.

Haha, we do not even do that. Too many wild teenagers trick or treating. :/

Doesn't sound like a very good Halloween spirit to me. Halloween should be fun!

Being afraid to answer your door because there have been breakins in your neighborhood isn't very good for the halloween spirit. xD

@ Winter: Pretty good, how about you? :) I'm trying to make a list of the commons I want from the event store. The voodoo hats are so cute!

@ Seiki: Not much.. *points above* XD You? It's cool that you're advertising PM in the event forum.. maybe some non ACers will be interested.

The voodoo hats I do actually like, but overall i am disappointed. xD Everything just looks kind of flat to me.

If I decide to hand out candy, I'll dress as Janis Joplin. It's sooo easy. Hippie shirt, jeans, scarf in hair, small round glasses, done.
I've already got huge curly hair, and people think I look a bit like her, so it's easy. And I can sing Me and Bobby McGee if anyone doubts me. :P

Noni, I'm a big fan of the hats as well. They're cute aren't they? I think that I have one of them on underneath my hairpin haha. And yeah, I want to try and get some new people interested in the contest, but I'm going to have trouble keeping the thread up. I don't know how active I can be with this event.

Winter, I've moved so many times its not really worth the trouble to bother moving again haha. I don't think that I would really be able to go through a move unless it was absolutely necessary again xD
