I love to tell this story because it is truly one of the stupidest and most dangerous thing that I have done thus far:

So I go to this camp called Hume Lake every year with my church in the summer. One particular year was my first time going up there during the summer camp program. Well, some friends and I decided that we were going to go down to the cove and swim around a bit. Apparently on the way day there all these signs around that said silly things like "no diving." I never saw such signs, and after my newfound abilities invoked by the swim team, I decided that I wanted to show off and dive into the lake. Praise God I was standing in the water and only did a shallow dive. I came out with just a long scratch on my nose and forehead along with a mouthful of gravel stuck in my braces. I never knew that the bottom of a lake wasn't uniformly sloped when it goes away from the shore.

Ya, that was my biggest blonde moment.

There must be something about swimming at summer camp that invites stupidity, lol! One year while we were swimming, I got thirsty and drank the river water even though the counselor had told me not to. Spent the next day or so throwing up and sick in the dorms, guess there was some weird kind of bacteria in the water, which was why they'd told us not to drink it >.<

Camp was awesome even if acting-like-a-dork inducing though...I wish they had some kind of summer camp for adults...
