I listed the acceptable carving materials in the second post. Onion wasn't one of them [ninja]

star2000shadow 10-30-2012 06:29 AM

star has to wait until friday to buy her pumpkin.. 'sulks' well unless she gets money on the first..which IS when the event is 'hums' maybe I'll buy a pumpkin then and carve it up..>_> I'll even get a candle 'nods'

musasgal 10-30-2012 11:08 AM

NUUUU!!!!! I don't have the tools to carve let alone a pumpkin!!!

Then again, it's NZ, we probably don't do pumpkin carving since it's spring over here......

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 10-30-2012 12:04 PM

You sure it would work?

blueblackrose 10-30-2012 07:15 PM

I have a great idea for this contest. Now to wait for the rain and wind settle a bit so I can go outside to get my white pumpkin.

Velvet 10-30-2012 08:09 PM

Turnip challenge accepted~

Why would someone want to brave using an onion? That would be a real tear jerking carving/painting right there. [gonk]

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 10-31-2012 01:06 AM

@musasgal: I don't know. But it's probably the cheapest and least labor intensive. XDDD
Actually maybe they're not that much cheaper than the others. P:

KatMagenta 10-31-2012 06:49 PM

I'd never carved a pumpkin before this and was not aware pumpkin carving kits even existed. My tools of choice were knife and bigger knife. ^^;

Love the entry form title, Biggles!

If I have to make them two separate posts let me know. Oh! Also let me know if you want me to make them links so they take up less room!

Seridano 11-01-2012 02:05 PM

Going to wait until tonight when they're lit up to snap pics. The daylight ones just don't do them justice.

lizrd356 11-01-2012 08:00 PM

i carved six pumpkins this year but my camera is busted.

---------- Post added 11-01-2012 at 01:02 PM ----------

i carved a cat face, a bat, three regular jack-o-lanterns, and a creepy looking clown face for my brother.

---------- Post added 11-01-2012 at 01:04 PM ----------

but my favorite part is picking through the guts for the pumkin seeds, so i can bake them.

blueblackrose 11-01-2012 08:44 PM

This was the first year that I carved any pumpkins. I carved three total. One with Yan on it, one with leaves and the other has a witch's hat and spider.

lizrd356 11-02-2012 07:36 PM

nope, i'm at a cabin in the woods for vacation and the only people that are close by don't have any electronics except a cell phone.
