Here: (If it's a minor burn)

Quote:
Cool the burn. Hold the burned area under cool (not cold) running water for 10 or 15 minutes or until the pain subsides. If this is impractical, immerse the burn in cool water or cool it with cold compresses. Cooling the burn reduces swelling by conducting heat away from the skin. Don't put ice on the burn.
Cover the burn with a sterile gauze bandage. Don't use fluffy cotton, or other material that may get lint in the wound. Wrap the gauze loosely to avoid putting pressure on burned skin. Bandaging keeps air off the burn, reduces pain and protects blistered skin.
Take an over-the-counter pain reliever. These include aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Aleve) or acetaminophen (Tylenol, others). Use caution when giving aspirin to children or teenagers. Though aspirin is approved for use in children older than age 2, children and teenagers recovering from chickenpox or flu-like symptoms should never take aspirin. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns.

Me too, some days I don't notice I was burned or cut at work till I get home. Kitchens are so dangerous.

Yeah...but kitchens are where the food-gasms are made.

@Artsy I work at a fairly busy restaurant. Even though we can only hold about 80 people sitting at once, we do roughly 90 at lunch hour. Or at least we do when we are actually the fairly busy part...today was a little too quiet, only like 20 people came in. xD

We have this older couple(friends of the old GM) who come in once a week, order the same thing every week, and always split it. So they only have to pay for 1 meal...which, I can understand when you're on a budget...but they are both well-to-do people. And the meal they split is only like $15.

Maybe it's from a day when they were short on cash and it became a tradition?

Aww, well when your old you can't digest as much. I know my old friends are that way too. Plus they come from a time without the whole super-size of everything.

Yeah, it could be any number of things. Just, when we don't have the stuff to do their usually meal(steak on poutine) they tend to get a little...irate.

Hehe yup. I like that about regulars. They're regular for a reason and they know it and you know what they're there for. If something suddenly changes they'll let you know.
