Well to me Tintin is in his early twenties, the Captain is later thirties to early fourties mid at most and yes, the age difference does definitely still 20 years apart almost seem inappropriate; well it actually kind of is. I don't approve of that minors and all, but after reading the series it would be correct to assume tintin is well above 18. As I said earlier I feel stupid for wanting to do this but I feel after doing more research on Herge's life that is part of what he wanted but could not because of the times.
