I was surfing trying to research books on my own when I came across this article which I pinged to Coffee and after reading that, I was totally convinced.

No, it's not an anime, but graphic novel started around the beginning or WW II by a guy named Herge.

Tintin is a young man which his age they kind of estimate starting about sixteen or seventeen... but there are over twenty books, and stretched along several decades. He is supposed to be a reporter but more of a private investigator really who goes on adventures. I figure through the passage of time he ages a few years.

there is a cartoon series on youtube you can watch but it is a bit abridged and they leave certain things out kind of giving a somewhat generic feel. I do understand for adults who read the graphic novels there are much bigger themes at work than meets the eye.

there are three parts to the article, which the third pages sums up a little about Herge. I could definitely see as the years pass they would consumate their relationship. In the gay world couples 15 years apart are not uncommon.

I just think that as time goes we get more gay mainstreamed characters and people need to realize there is nothing wrong with being gay.

The graphic novel and even the cartoon of tintin in tibet (which is a lovestory to me) really shows the tension and the anguish that tintin and the captain both feel... but the last book called the picarious tintin refuses to go with the captain and professor calculus but soon goes and the captain asks him what made him change his mind and tintin tells him " he misses him"
