yea you might have to look it up but i have tonsil stones and that is what is cuting my throat every time i swallow

mine where pulled when i was 12 because they would swell and block my wind pipe, and i couldn't breathe.

try a cup of hot tea with honey. that helps after they pull them so it might help before as well.

I like drinking lemon + honey mixture to soothe my sore throat. I'm not sure about your tonsils case though o-o
