I've tried it, it's nice, but I was unwell when I last had it so it probably didn't live up to my expectation because of that. Only had it one other time, and I'm sure I enjoyed it more that time.

Not tried takoyaki. I'm wary of the octopus bits, but still willing to try it. P:

This thread has made me so hungry. I want to eat all of the sushi and takoyaki in existence right now.
I try to eat a bunch of different fishes any time I go out for sushi, but I do like shrimp, salmon, and maguro (tuna) a lot. They're the main ones I eat, in addition to the "exotic" fish. The problem I have is remembering their names.

Hello Ferra
It's what we do. That's a lot of cream cheese!
Nice~ Would you try the Japanese puffer fish? :o I've only tried shrimp, octopus, flounder and tilapia.

I wouldn't dare trying puffer fish. Those are just dangerous. I mean, even though you have to have a license in Japan to prepare it for others, it still seems dangerous...people here don't need a license to prepare puffer fish so we'd get news about puffer fish poisoning and people dying from it.

Yeah, I intend to try it someday. I love all sorts of interesting fishes. I don't know many of their English names though. I also surprisingly discovered that I like horumon (pig guts, such as intestines), cow tongue, chicken hearts, etc. I was a picky eater growing up, so it amazes me what I like to eat now.
Also, I don't mind eating natto anymore either. Have you ever had that? It was nastier than I expected the first time I had it, but it's not bad.

I can't stand the smell of natto, so I haven't ever tried it before. Just the smell is enough to put me off.

The smell really is what gets you. Although the taste and texture really aren't that pleasant the first time either. But I think you get used to it pretty quickly after you force yourself to eat it a few times. I could never eat it plain, but if it's on rice, especially with some soy sauce and mustard mixed in, then it's really not bad at all.

The everything of natto is what got me.
I don't think I'd try puffer fish. Unless it was just a tiny tiny piece. XDDDD And a supah reputable place!
