Some people are what I think people are referred to as street smart, which is more everyday living smart, often more useful and important than the whole academic smart. You seem like you would be street smart. [:)]

Siipu 11-06-2012 12:59 PM

Well yeah, of course all people (allmost all) are smart at something. 8D

But yeah, i kinda think I am street smart. But i wish i would be academically smart too. :'D

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 05:26 PM

lol street smart.... if poet went out on the streets poet would be so screwed...

Any skill that requires talking screws poet over

Siipu 11-06-2012 05:32 PM

I'm kinda lucky, since i'm not shy, at all. *nods*

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 05:54 PM

Poet isn't shy as much as just very nervous [lol]

Siipu 11-06-2012 06:02 PM

I'm not nervous usually ether. 8D

Ling 11-06-2012 06:06 PM

I actually don't believe I'm academically gifted, however I have been told by a friend who studies post graduate level psychology that I probably have a higher emotional quotient (EQ) than most people. I can't remember her reason for saying that exactly, something about being able to tell in general how a person is feeling when I'm in their presence by their body language, what they're saying and how they're behaving. If this is true, then I'm probably in the right field of study.

Siipu 11-06-2012 06:08 PM

Oh, i can do that too sometimes too. But not that often.
So you're lucky. 8D

Ling 11-06-2012 06:12 PM

If someone was really good at acting I probably wouldnt' be able to tell either, not a mind reader. xD

Siipu 11-06-2012 06:13 PM

hahaha, same.
I wish i was a mind reader tho. 8D

Ling 11-06-2012 06:17 PM

Creeepy! Hey I know I just got here, but I gotta go again, my mum's just told me off for being out of bed at 4:54 in the morning. I'm not even sleepy but she insists I go back to bed...lol.

Siipu 11-06-2012 06:18 PM

lmao. ok.
I'll see you later then. :D

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 06:35 PM

Body language reader? [lol] Poet would confuse Ling very badly though. Poet doesn't understand body language so poet randomly guesses which one to use

Siipu 11-06-2012 07:49 PM

hahah, funny poet. [lol]

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 08:07 PM

Poet's very opposite of Ling because since 6th grade poet's been struggling to read body language. Especially body language directed towards one person. Flirting baffles poet to no end. [lol]

Siipu 11-06-2012 08:12 PM

well, when your more around people, you'll learn it eventually. *nods*

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 08:28 PM

Ah... so you say... poet was married and still didn't figure it out.

Siipu 11-06-2012 08:30 PM

Well, i guess it kinda depends on a person then.
8D

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 08:40 PM

Poet has a suspected social disorder though so poet has an excuse...

Siipu 11-06-2012 08:41 PM

well, if you say so. O:

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 08:55 PM

It's no biggie really... poet is just very thankful for blunt people [lol]

Ling 11-06-2012 09:25 PM

Hey guys, I'm back. Interesting to read about Poet's lack of understanding of body language. I'm sure if you were with me in person you'd use body language that fits your mood at the time.

The Wandering Poet 11-06-2012 09:53 PM

Half of poet's body language is just fidgeting... [lol]
Have fun with that... XD

heheh. [lol]

Ling 11-06-2012 10:03 PM

fidgeting probably does reflect on the fact that you're nervous (as you mentioned you sometimes can be) or that you might be aggitated..?
