It seems to be like any manga or my attempt in realism, like any other realism... T__T

What, if yours is like any type of manga, then mine is like some other type of manga too. U_U

And the fact that you can even DO realism is amazing! I've flopped so many times trying to =u=

Currently, I only complete 2 realism... which I think it is too pretty to be call realism.
So More to semi? surreal?

My picky eye for prettiness do not allow me to go real.

I drew it in Sai Paint Tool. Then I lifted the gradients in Photoshop Elements. :)

I usually use the airbrush tool to outline--I just didn't this time.
I want to use the pencil tool like Lina does but mine just gets rough edges.

Mine falls between realism and er... anime.

I think it's because I'm so OCD for detail...
which is a negative result for me since it makes me take a couple of hours before I finish anything... OTL;;;

And WOW you use the airbrush to lineart? If I were to do that, my art would be all over the place. Or do you mean that you usually go lineless?

It is cheap, considering how much time I spend on it.
Good art do not necessary spend the longest time to create.
More time means I am not skilled at it.

I used the gradient shade tool to lift and change the gradients on my colors. xD
I think the opacity was Soft Light? or something. I scroll through and then turn down the % of it, so it's not over powering.

Yessums! I used to use the "brush tool" for outlining... but then I saw other AMAZING artists that I'm not in league of, use the Airbrush tool. I've accomplished working with that, without having too bad of edges. @ w @;; I tried using the pen tool, but I get frustrated that it will erase the WHOLE lines if you erase one thing.

Then I have to keep hitting CTRL+Z to erase and re-line all the time if I do.

@ Xu; pfft, w/e! I cannot even do those full manga pages that you used to sell in the Art Forum. That's tough.

I don't think you found the correct tutorial to guide you through, Miroro.
Did you try before?

I've been through more than a dozen. I usually only focus on my coloring.
But I have looked at the tutorials for linearting, all of them, on Deviantart.

Everyone has a different method and too many rules or too many steps that I just say "forget it."

@MIRO: OOOH, I use that ALL THE TIME. My favorite is overlay, makes it all shiny and pretty. :)

and I know what you mean about tutorials, some are SUPER useful, but others have so many steps and things I'm just like..this is impossible *gives up*

I sometimes choose to create my own tones... I am picky.
But lazy me, I will try to use the ready made one as much as possible.

It was a course for my school.
It took some time, but it doesn't take a lot of re-doing as compare to my realism attempt.
