Wow that's different to what the mid wives/docs say here.

5 months :D and we've got her on bannanas now. But not planning any cow milk until she's at least one. our choice. i don't want to introduce her to any high allergy foods to early >.<

Ohh yeah where are you at? I am in Texas I believe she should have formula or breast milk I stopped producing though when I got pregnant again so we had no choice but to give her formula sadly she was souly breastfed for almost 8 months though.

everyone here (NY) preaches no milk until over 1 year. breastfeed until 2 years.

I agree with the breastfeeding if you are breastfeeding. But here I had a dr actually rant that my daughter should be on formula to make her gain weight faster. O.o I was like she was a lil baby she is healthy she eats well just doesnt over eat I am sorry my child is not a morbidly obese baby crazy person

Some babies need to be on formula when you don't produce enough milk *nods*.
I hate people esp midwives who get all shitty when you don't breastfeed long enough lol.
Its like hello - there are a lot of different circumstances why woman can't breastfeed. My poor friend got yelled at by hers. Just cause she asked if she could top her baby up with formula, coz she's not producing enough milk. Nutts!!

Anyway better telly this up.

I agree formula can be a great thing but Bee was at a good weight just not pudgy and I was making milk a ton of it that kid could put it away I kept a feeding journal and even started pumping it to show how much she was eating because I wanted to be sure she was getting enough. The dr was just use to kids being like 15 pounds at 4 months old and bee was only eight it was crazy.

i get yelled at a lot because i supplement with formula. for one reason or another.

usually its "you shoudl be only breastfeeding"
"we're taking away food for you cause your not completely breastfeeding!!!"
my response to that one is.. ummm hello. not my fault gimmemygodamnfood!
and the really crazy one
"you're feeding your child to much. you don't need this formula"
well i'm sorry if she drains both breasts and drinks a bottle every feeding !! o.O NOT MY FAULT!
she's still hungry. and nothing is being spit up after. I don't care how tiny you say her stomach is. SHE"S EATING IT

my 5 month old daughter is the size of a 2 month old we ran into. -.-
babies grow differently . and it ticks me off that people can't see that. and they say they're baby experts. HAH!!
that's why i don't use a baby doctor. i use a real doctor . they're actually intelligent.

Thats what I did went to a normal Dr after all the crap I was like this is BS no two people let alone babies are alike its called a guestament or curve percentile for a damn reason.
