I was born in Canada.. my dad is Scottish though so I am the first generation Canadian on their side

@Rainy - Sadly the maori are dying. I do believe there is no more full blooded maori people alive anymore. Most have european in them.

Yes, I have read/heard so, too, Roachi, it is sad. But most native and suppressed nation fate is like that. So, it's important to save and secure the little people can.

Well you could say creole is exactly the meaning of a melting pot. We have different kinds of races that make us up. Like, I'm 2 types of native american, spanish, french, some kind of white I suppose english since they're the ones who occupied america mostly lol.

@rainy - Very true. I know very little about my culture though. Was never brought up by my father.
And my mothers irish side she barely knows. We only bare the irish surname.

Some even have way more than that lol, also you know how the asian languages for example china has different dialects like Cantonese and Mandarin ? We have somthing like but it's more than 2

A few months ago I learnt a few words in mandarin and Korean

but that's it no sentences or anything

few words in german, few sentences in spanish and of course japanese from anime mwuahaha annnd few words in cantonese. I'm all over the place :(

I really wanna learn JP so I can play this game because it's not translated. Plus I will no longer need subtitles LOL. I also wanna learn Korean because well I love those dramas

I have friends who say they will teach me languages so next summer I plan on taking them up :P

And I know Latvian, my native, English, tiny bit of Russian... Would like to learn more of it and German, perhaps Spanish, but got no one to really learn/use them with and can't learn a thing then.

Now I am going to sleep, take care all and have fun, don't get too far ahead of me, lol. *cries looking at quote game points-*

But new languages are always fun to learn :/

That's how I feel, and to keep it fresh you need to constantly use it until it becomes second nature =o kinda like the primary language you speak

Yeah, the words settle in when I use them, that's why I learned English - due to movies, stories and internet.
