Well eff it all. We had some last minute trick-or-treaters and since we'd only had one all night, I let them take "a handful" of candy each. They went a little crazy. Whatever. They were happy, it made me happy. Especially since they're probably low income kiddos who don't get much candy from the looks of them and the fact that they're out this late at night. Anyway, mom got all pissed because I guess she wanted to keep the "good" candy. And I'm like....WHAT DID WE BUY THIS FOR?!?!?! Oh god. So now, instead of ending Halloween on a happy note, I'm all upset.

Bummer. Giving candy to the trick-or-treaters is the purpose of holiday. Kind of sounds like the person who wrote in to an advice column complaining about all the "poor" kids who were going to the rich neighborhoods. I wanted to wallop that person. -.-

Find out which one she really wanted.
Then just hit the grocery store early tomorrow, they usually mark it down a little more than the big stores.

Heck I was happy to actually have a few kids show up tonight.

She doesn't want to leave the house. She wouldn't go shopping with us today or even go vote, even though she hates one of the candidates.
It's not like we need the freaking candy. None of us are a healthy weight. And she doesn't go shopping with us and she doesn't earn any money so quite honestly, she has zero claim to it other than that she was in a mood for it.

Oh, it's not like I can't buy more. And I buy stuff for her all the time. We bought her a pie today! But it just really rains on my parade to have her bitch at me for something I enjoyed doing for others.

I'm glad I don't have trick or treaters in my building. One year, I got a bitchy mother because my costume was "inappropriate".
