Hm, you guys are making this tricky! [sweat] In order for the tater to count in the craft part you would have to carve it into the form of a pumpkin like the way you would make something out of clay. If you just scratched the image of a pumpkin in the skin it wouldn't count. The craft section is about making model pumpkins really. [yes]

I crafted this with paper mache technique using 1 roll of toilet paper, some paper clay to sculpt the windows and door and cardboard for the leaves... and my son's water colors hehehehe [twisted]

Aww what that sucks. So i couldn't use a piece of fruit or other veggie and make it look spooky like a pumpkin would? Like this... what i used for a Halloween food comp one year.

@ Roachi: During a competition a few years ago there was a category for carving things other than pumpkins. Since this competition already has various ways to participate I decided not to include a category like that.

i made mashed potatoe zombies that had their brains melted on them in cheese form. a couple years back.. don't remember exactly what for. xD
