Entry: Autumn peaked just a few weeks ago up here in Northern Michigan.
Proof: I happened to still have the picture on my camera.
Notes: My only regret is that I couldn't capture the fog rolling over the hills the way I had wanted to. There is a little that you can see, but it mostly dissipated by the time I made it down to the water for the shot.

Notes: This is what they call Elvis head. It is in my uncles neighborhood in Charlotte and it just makes me day when I see it... Everytime we drive by this house I HAVE to look just to see it. :D

Notes: This was taken at my grandfathers plot at the cemetery. When I drove through the cemetery, it was just so pretty I couldn't help but take pictures. :D And actually, not that you can see it really good, but my photo and the nickname my grandfather called me is on the bench there in the photo.

I live close to this haunted and mysterious place.

Abandoned prisons are such weird places. Though abandoned asylums are weirder to me. Why are there so many of them D: if they couldn't be renovated to meet modern medical standards, why are they left empty? I get a stigma, but that won't drive all potential developers away. Many, many of the buildings are actually gorgeous. Ha, can you tell this is a subject I've thought about before?

They're abandoned for modern prisons because maintenance on older ones become expensive and costly. Especially over 100 year old prisons like the Reformatory and you also have to consider that alot of older prisons have dark pasts which equates to the lot of them being haunted.

And yes, the Reformatory is a gorgeous building. I actually need to take pictures of it when I get the chance but i've never done it because I don't know if and when it'd be considered trespassing and stuff. I just checked their hours so it seems I won't be able to go visit without notice until April hits since it's all reservation and other events that are only allowed to visit the building.

Yeah, my reply was pure logic. The asylums? I find them totes creepy, and even though they are beautiful, I'm not sure I could live in one if it was madeinto condos or some such.

I have a nice camera but I rarely use it. It's the same camera we have at work, I play with the work one more. but I don't have many of those pictures to share since gov't property etc.

My phone takes photos that have a 50% of turning out grainy. I don't understand it.
