I like clean environment too... but my definition of clean. XD maybe different than yours. I have a rather high tolerance of dust and untidiness.

Dakukuu~ How long are those stories?

PapillonCameo 11-01-2014 06:02 PM

My room needs cleaning

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:05 PM

I can ignore dust for an eternity, but not other mess do much. My room is clean of nasty things and clutter, but otherwise unkempt.

Uh...I've only ever finished one novel and it's short in it's unedited state. About 75k. I write a lot of short stories.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:07 PM

those short stories are also completed, yes?
Glad to hear someone has high tolerance to dust like me. XD

MoodyBats 11-01-2014 06:08 PM

@Kat
I finish my writing much faster than my art work.
Most of my laptop had WIP's. XD

@Rette
Kitchen must be clean.
But room...it is messy yet organized.
Cause you know where things are at. XD

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:11 PM

That is call Order within Chaos. 8D

sailor star rainbow 11-01-2014 06:11 PM

I need to clean my room again sighs oh well. but then again I need pick up a little trash too in here.

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:11 PM

I've finished a couple dozen shorter pieces in my time. I'm not counting most of what I wrote in high school or before because I don't have the stuff anymore. I mean...I still have dozens upon dozens of unfinished novels and sorts. I start new things easier than finish.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:18 PM

I like starting too... and planning.
but... finishing it... feels like the end... T__T

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:23 PM

The majority of things I've finished were for school or last nano when I wrote a collection of short stories. The last half of this year has been very wonderful because I've finished a whole bunch of things without anyone telling me to.

Shadami 11-01-2014 06:24 PM

would you guys want to see what i've written. as carp as it is? >.<
i mean.. its like 4 paragraphs only. and i barely know what i'm doing seeing as this is a story i just kind of... have had in my mind with no real direction yet.

CloudDreamer 11-01-2014 06:29 PM

1800 words - which for me, with my lack of motivation is big.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:29 PM

Shadamimi going the path of pantser!
What the story about?

Dakukuu~ I am so proud of you. Very productive.
You graduated already?

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:34 PM

I'd try to read Sha though I'm not much of a reader.

Rette: thanks and yeah, last December. I've been out of school and job for almost a year now so it's given me a lot of time to write.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:43 PM

Take your time. I had taken time off after graduate too. Mostly wasting time away. That is my first NaNo by the way. 2012.
and this year, I work. and man do I miss those days. D:

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:46 PM

My parents are super naggy that I'm not trying. I have tried to get a job! I've enjoyed my time but I never imagined it would take so long to find a simple job.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:48 PM

At least you work HARD for it.
I don't, so maybe I do deserved being nag by parents. x.x

sailor star rainbow 11-01-2014 06:49 PM

I'm not sure how much I can write at one time. but I once wrote a short story for my high school's news paper.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:52 PM

No pressure, Rainbowbow. Are you joining nano this year by the way?

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:52 PM

Well...worked hard might be an exaggeration. Work yes, just sorta with lackluster interest. My parents are right when they complain I act like I don't want a job. (I mean, who really wants a job?)

That's cool Star. Did they put your story in?

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:54 PM

lol. I want a job, that I can be the boss. XD lol. So I can set my own time.

Shadami 11-01-2014 06:55 PM

Quote:

A female body floated in a thick mist; faintly wet to the touch, and so dark it should have been terrifying. The girl felt oddly calm as she let herself float on the slow currents of the mist that carried her. She blinked slowly as if she was trying to wake from some deep slumber, something felt wrong. What was it? Am I floating up or down? She knew that things sank when in liquid-like substances, but her mind told her she was moving up. Suddenly blinding light flooded her vision, it was golden, and painful.

Silver-blue eyes flew up to stare and a gold encrusted ceiling, lips parting to gasp for air. She felt like she had been drowning. Yet, she had been calm moments ago in the mist place. It wasn't the first time [name] had had the dream. Almost every night she would dream of this misty world and wake up in a sweat as if she had been running. Was it fear? Or was the dream trying to tell her something? She couldn't be sure, but this was the first night she had been able to conjure what felt like her own true thought, instead of just floating along endlessly. As she lifted her head from the pillow, silver curls tumbling around her, a large comforter fell from her shoulders to the bed and a cool breeze blew across her exposed skin. For a moment [name] thought she was back in that misty dream world before she realized that the breeze was a true one, blowing in from her open balcony door.

Sliding her legs out from under the covers, she slipped on warm slippers that matched her green silk nightgown. Not caring of who might be looking she strode out onto the balcony with a sigh, settling her hands gracefully on the railing and looking out over the city. Directly below her was the courtyard of a palace, the palace of the King, her father. His royal guard patrolled the courtyard, ever watchful for intruders. Not that anyone could ever intrude. Her eyes moved to the palace walls, high as they were, it was silly for them to even be there. The entire city was built into the side of a mountain, on the inside of one of the largest continents in their world. Here at the very top of 'the hill' as she called it, was the palace, and below that stretching down to the drop off was the city. Glittering with gold and brilliant lights until near the bottom where the city was plunged into darkness. Sky trams moved with a low hum and occasional click carrying citizens between the different levels of the city. The sky tram that came to the castle was highly guarded and highly expensive to take without being a member of the select few allowed to use it at any time.

This world of gold disgusted her, and she didn't know why. She was born into it after all. Yet... far below, in that dark part of the city, lived wonderful people. Wonderful people that had the reputation of being slaves, and dirty thieves. Beggars that didn't deserve even to have the homes the city had provided for them. How could her father force people to live like that? And... why did she care so much? She sighed wistfully and rubbed her arms to ward off the chill collecting around her before moving back indoors with a swish of her silk nightgown.
i have no idea what the plot is going to be yet. i've only got a vague idea. i'm just going to write and see what happens.

Kat Dakuu 11-01-2014 06:59 PM

I know exactly what career I want but it's not the ideal bread-winner! Novelist! lol.

I really like it Shadami. The dream is interesting. You've got a lo you can do with it and the world you built is lovely. I'm liking the sky trams a lot. [yes]

sailor star rainbow 11-01-2014 07:06 PM

Yes they did put it in but that was back in 05. I don't think I will join nano I never one it before plus. I type most in group rp normally. I notice it before when ever I'm in a group rp I all ways tend to write more then.

MoodyBats 11-01-2014 07:09 PM
