My mom likes to read those novels about the quarrels and stuff in the 'back palace' where all the consorts are in Chinese history, but I really dislike them because I prefer straightforwardness and all the back-stabbing and lying and stuff annoys me to no end.

xD!!! I avoid them like the plague. :P I prefer novels about adventures or straightforward fights and stuff. Every time I see one of those spy movies or where the plot focuses on someone who gets the blame for something they didn't do in a movie, I instantly dislike it and don't want to watch it. D:

i kinda feel like i wasted my day watching this show because i thought it would be good...but it turned out to be a OMFG I LOVE YOU, NO I LOVE YOU MORE drama... sigh.

and they didn't even get to the point in the story yet.

For me, I think even Hong Kong drama is deteriorating.
The old generation they are serving love palace concubine story.
