i remember that happening... in 8th grade summer school math class... i took it for fun while everyone else...took it because they failed. needless to say i was quite popular [illgetu]

I think the only reason that people get the idea that Asians are better at maths is because we get advanced stuff shoved into our heads when the states doesn't do that. Like learning the times table in first grade, going to the states and am surprised that times table doesn't come until somewhere in second grade.

i don't know. the education system here is quite fail.

i went to private school after grade school so i had "advanced" everything compared to public education.
