No, but a few people have been attacked before. Some even chased with knives.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 05:41 AM

wow! That is crazy. murderous.
Sounds like mental asylum?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 05:48 AM

Might as well be... the police unfortunately know us rather well... [lol]

hummy 11-01-2014 05:51 AM

happy RAKaweenie, Poet

xuvrette 11-01-2014 05:54 AM

Police know you as suspect or as victim? O__O

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 05:58 AM

Hummy! [glomp] It was too hard to talk in that thread :( I got missed.

Moreso we've had to call the police while at work a decent number of times. Or they've called the police on us because they didn't like us.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:02 AM

I see. *sighs* Sometimes it is difficult to sympathize those people.

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 06:05 AM

Yeah... but I'll be honest... they are a lot easier to deal with than normal people... >.< they're smarter...

xuvrette 11-01-2014 06:44 AM

what? that is one amazing thing. how come they are smarter?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 06:57 AM

Because we have a lot of crackheads and other sorts of drug addicts here. The clients are legally not permitted to have drugs of any kind that are not prescribed by a doctor... meaning they're clean.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 07:28 AM

... I don't think.. I get the logic how that makes them smart?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 07:31 AM

Drugs dull the mind. Some do it permanently.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 07:40 AM

so, which mean the drug addict is dumb because of their drug doing?
thus that makes the ill patient smarter?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 07:48 AM

Pretty much. Though... unfortunately I can't explain what my coworker's excuses are...

xuvrette 11-01-2014 07:57 AM

About using drugs?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 08:00 AM

No... they are drug free but a lot of them are really stupid (like sleeping on the job) and I can't figure out why...
One guy was a no show... which is very bad since we assist with medication, so not showing can be dangerous for a client.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 08:08 AM

no show meaning not showing up for work?
so feeding medicine is also your job?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 08:12 AM

No show, basically by not answering his phone or showing to work, he has refused to work. Basically he quit on a delay... because he will very likely be fired for that.

We have to make sure medication is taken. Some clients can do it themselves some can't. But we do keep them under lock and key, of course.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 08:17 AM

I see, that is so irresponsible. :<
so unlike nurse, you are not staying with the client the whole day?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 08:43 AM

I'm there 8 hours a day. A full shift.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 08:45 AM

Aren't you working in patient's house?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 08:54 AM

Pretty much yes.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 08:57 AM

then how do you punch cards?

The Wandering Poet 11-01-2014 08:59 AM

We sign a sheet on site [yes] and if we don't show the staff waiting to be relieved will call and complain.

xuvrette 11-01-2014 09:01 AM

I see. Which mean, you travel around your own?
