Good morning guys! Or rather, good afternoon since it's almost 1pm here!
Recently, I watched an anime called Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun or Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. It's about a high school mangaka, Nozaki, and the girl who has a crush on him, but accidentally becomes his assistant. Various friends of his are his assistants, to the point where Nozaki only draws the characters. One then does the black ink, one does shading, one draws shoujo bubbles and hearts and other such effects, and one does backgrounds. I get the feeling that a lot of mangaka probably work this way. They'll have at least one assistant to specialize in an area they suck at or don't have time for to pull the whole thing together.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun was really cute also, so if you're looking for something funny about manga and being in high school and various antics, I recommend it. :D

I think I've read a few chapters of that manga, it's the one where the guy draws inspiration from what's happening around him and stuff and in the manga the two protagonists are gender-bent, right? XD

Yeah, he's based the character's on his friends. It's really funny. Though, since there's only 12 episodes they don't really tie up any of the romances, but it's still cute.

I can't remember if I read up to the last chapter or not, though it was a pretty nice read. Has it ended?

I dunno. I was considering reading the manga, because I'm sure it goes farther than the anime. That's usually the case.

Oh, it keeps track of the manga you read? :o
I only read less than five series at the moment though. XD;;

Yeah, but you can keep track of all those series that you poke at every once in a great while and always forget where you left off.....but only if you remember to track them. Sometimes I forget I'm better about keeping track of anime. It's just with manga, you can blow through a lot of chapters really fast!

Manga is much easier to read. Also doesn't help that usually one chapter of a manga is one episode of an anime.

*glomp tackles Wifey* :D
Or worse, they condense multiple chapters of manga into one episode and it's all smooshed and not good.

A lot. Just like movies don't include every part of a book. Books and manga are way more detailed than their movie/anime counterparts have time to be.

Ah, I usually just see that as skipping parts.
Or...changing a plot point completely. >_<

I really couldn't say, but Kuroshitsuji really did a shitty job with their anime. They picked up random pieces, then gave it a definite, non-canon ending. Then they realized it was really popular, but oh shit! They gave it that ending! So then they had to fix the ending with more non-canon antics, just made up all new characters and plot and it was a train wreck! They just put out a third season/series, that does follow the manga, but you have to pretend that half of the first season of the anime and all of the second season doesn't exist. -_-

So true.
I have noticed a habit that it's sooo much harder to finish an anime than to start one.

Of course. But if they don't really hook you, it's hard to slog through. Sometimes even if they do hook you, you just hit a speed bump and give it up for a while. I've done that a lot.

I plow through a lot of anime. >_> According to my anime list, I've completed over 162 series, 49 OVAs, and 34 movies. That's just the stuff I finished. It doesn't contain anything I've dropped, I'm currently watching or anything I flat out forgot I watched XD
