Attic are handy storage places, but the logistics of lugging a body up there, along with fans and containers to keep said body while it disappears. Me personally, I would like a large plot of land and neighbors that leave me alone.

The later the night goes on, the weirder the conversation gets.

Never had a house with a basement, so they aren't scary to me. Never had an attic either, bathroom at night is no biggie deal for me and graveyards, they are fun to be in and look at all the headstones.
