I think I posted in the ASL topic about it once, I thought it so awesome that others were willing to talk about it, and knew what it was. |

I don't know what it is about Rachel Ray, but every time I hear her talk, it's like she's talking down to me like I'm some stupid kid and she's trying to find simple enough words to get her message across and she's only pretending to really like me and like working with kids because my dad is hot and standing right there and she thinks if she can make him think she likes me she can get in his pants ... how weird is that? Especially when I'm 32 and my father is in his 50's and still married to my mom and doesn't even watch the Food Network.
But that is how her voice sounds to me. Insincere and it makes my toes curl. |

I love the $40 a day show, I've gotten some really great tips from it. :< I won't watch anything else with her on it. I think her recipes are sort of.. dumb. They're typical stuff you find in any cook book.

Well, this post ought to be the final straw so I can go buy my pants and go to sleep. Thanks for putting up with my chatty-ness this past half hour. Good luck to you all and see you later today ...

lmao...actually, I DO remember one funny Rachael Ray episode on Food Network.
She was like "OMG Guys, today we're going to make an open faced Calzone! Isn't that great and easy! 8DDDDD" I was like "...that's a pizza, you twit." D< |
Azure- X3
It was nice. Exspecially talking about it. Made me want to pick up the books again and learn some more. XD I like watching people sign. The speed thier hands go at sometimes is amazing! |
^_^ Good night Crazy! Have a good sleep.

Mute the show! Mute it! |
I used to be able to "speak" ASL fluently. Two of my closest friends were deaf when I was in high school. However, I changed highschools and I've dropped out of touch with them so I doubt I could sign more than a few sentences. I still know my alphabet though!

Ooo night, Crazy~
But yeah...she really doesn't really give good tips on that 30 minute meals thing. :( Obviously people don't have magic cupboards that magically have EVERY ingredient you need to make a meal. Nor can they afford to pay extra to buy precut, precleaned, pre-shredded, pre-everything meat and veggies from the market. Most of that food takes longer than 30 minutes to cook anyway Dx |

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks this way! My mother and sisters lord over her cook books. I'm like.. >___>;; WTH!? WHY IS THIS GARBAGE IN YOUR HOUSE!?
|

Good night, everyone! I had a good time tonight! See you later today!

I find that most food stuff that's only 15 - 20 minutes to make is really a lot more because they expect you to have everything on hand. I'm reading this book on quick healthy meals that says you should spend an afternoon pre-cooking, cutting, etc all the stuff you need for the meals you'll have in the week. So really, it's only 15 - 20 to do it on the day but it's a good few hours of prep on the weekend >.<

Ooh.. Emeril. I used to love Emeril Live. Now it seems like he does more entertaining and less cooking.
His recipes are great if you cut out half the garlic. The food at his restaurants is just amazing. |

I've noticed most of her stuff in those cookbooks are recycled anyway. Seriously...you can only eat burgers for so many days before saying ENOUGH Oiajfdpoiwajfeawfe!!! Even if they're different kinds of burgers. >>;; I remember being horrified when she did that cooking with kids episode. D: She gave some boy who looked around 8 a KNIFE and told him to start chopping vegetables while she opened cans and shit. Then she started freaking out on him because he was struggling and it was putting her behind schedule. |
