I have a decent amount of muscle, basically from carrying around all my weight for years. But I wouldn't mind losing a ton of weight and being between the 150-160 range. I'd go from there if I thought I needed it.

-also wants really flat tummy so he can get tattoos on hips/waist <3-

EDIT - I want to be Devyn skinny <3

Ideal weights are really dependent on a lot of things. Body type, muscle mass, athleticism, and age are all things that need to be taken into account. I know for myself, I was always told not to look to the ideal weight scale because of my ability to build muscle quite fast and big. Athletes are told not to look at the scale because they have a disproportionate amount of muscle as compared to fat, and muscle weighs way more than fat.

I don't think people who are still growing should worry too much about their weight as long as they're within the recommended weights though. Boys especially gain growth weight and then drop it like crazy when they spurt upwards. That and all of them fill out to a certain extent. So unless they're technically obese and outside of that safe weight range, I really don't think they should worry.

There's nothing wrong with getting fit and eating right though :)

  • I have supplements, but they make me gag because they are quite large. I take these other vitamins, which have like 1oo % daily everything ( well, not protein ) that are sour gummy candies. Lol, what am I, five ?

I also have this stuff called... err... Well, I can't remember, but all I know is that it has protein in it, and it's tasteless when mixed in food ( although it smells like cat food x-x )

I eat a lot of tofu, and I get protein through that and other things like soymilk and legumes I eat.

I'm all good with vitamins & proteins and stuff.

The best way to get a good tummy is to do your cardio and core exercises regularly. That's really all there is to it. And guys have it so much easier when it comes to building an awesome tummy. Seriously. I'm jealous.

Literally though, I am. It's horrible. I need 130 lbs to go like, now.

  • I am keeping an eye on my weight, though. :3
I think I eat pretty healthy, and stuff like that, so there's not a lot I should be worried about.
    Of course, there is more to be lost, always... XD;

Tummy tattoos/piercings are bomb. I'm hoping I can get skinny enough by my 18th birthday so I can do both <3

  • i do running on running machine for most 30+ mins without no break.. but what kind of core excercises you recommends?

hahah, really? is that true fact?

seripha 03-17-2007 08:04 AM

Seiki - But you know it and you're working on it, so that's all that matters. It just sucks that sometimes it takes a while.

Azure - That's totally lame. Unless you have lots of excess skin, there's no reason why you should need a tummy tuck.

  • I'm waaaay too much of a sissy to get tattooed. I'd have to be highly intoxicated to go through with it.

Well, maybe later in life I'll actually do it. I've already though about what I'd like, even if I may never get them.

Maybe a retro-looking cat somewhere, or a star near my shoulder ?

seripha 03-17-2007 08:05 AM

Azure - It's totally true. Couple your running with some really good sit ups and core stuff.

I wish I was there to show you all the stuff but it's sort of hard all the way over here. If you don't mind getting a dvd, pilates is a really great way to get core strength. If you want to be cool like me, you can look on shape.com for some pictures of things you can do. Most of my stuff is from back when I was swimming varsity though.

I do. I've given up soda. I've actually begun considering going vegetarian long before this, and I'm trying to cut down on sweets (which is hard compared to giving up soda which was really easy for some reason). I'd really like to see how much I would lose if I exercised a tad bit more.

  • Me too. I used to have three ( or was it five... ) ear peircings, but I act a little feminine, and it was really weird with me and my earrings.

I want an eyebrow one really bad, and maybe a lip or two, because they look really, really cool. :3

I'm not sure how one takes care of those piercings, but they'd be sweet to have ;]

DECENT tattoo parlors wouldn't even *TOUCH* you if you went into thier place drunk.

XD

ASK IT!!!

Ok, so I just want to know what the question is xD

Keeyats - I would never pierce my face. That's just crazy to me.

seripha 03-17-2007 08:09 AM

Seiki - If you really want to lose weight I totally suggest you get into a gym 5 times a week and change up the activities you do often so your body doesn't get used to what you do. That sometimes happens when people are trying to lose weight, they do the same stuff all the time and then their body gets used to it and they don't lose anymore weight.

haha, I just noticed that there's only 9 people on menewsha right now. It seems like everyone is getting booted :(

True. I forgot why though. It had to do something with tolerance and disease or something.

  • Lol; I live in Massachusetts.

Azure; Stereotypical gay shrieking would go on in the tattoo parlour, I assume. My mother enjoys getting tattoos, and she says depending on where you get it, it can even be painless. But I'd probably get scared.

    Ask the question. Do it.

seripha 03-17-2007 08:10 AM

Azure - Scars on the tummy can be hot. And really, I think that it would be minimal unless you went to a guy who didn't know what he was doing.

Five days a week?! Are you insane?! We'll start slowly, with two days and work up from there. I'm not a very active person, you can't expect me to go directly to five days. I would die ><
