  • Agree'd. I have so much extra crap from the past, impulse purchases, and gifts that I just don't use... I can't sell it though, it's all random crap.

    Dieyavi; Ah. I played Flute for three years, but quit when I got into highschool. It's such a big commitment and I wasn't ( and still am not ) ready to balance that with school work ( and online time, of course ! )

What picture? =D

@Keeyats: Awesome. It seems like most the people I know are either clarinet players or flute players. I'm a clarinet player myself. It's my first year in band and I can already see how hard it is to keep up with everything. xD I've given up a lot of my free time for school work and school activities.

I think the the people of America have a problem with hoarding junk.
I thought I was alone in my extreme desires to purge until just recently when all these television shows in America started broadcasting shows about cleaning, yard sales and donating to charity! From Clean House on the Style network to special shows dedicated to purging on Oprah and Tyra Banks.

I especially like watching the show Clean House! Some people's houses are just FILLED with stuff they don't need! All these people are emotionally attached to certain material things, it makes me feel not so weird lol. However, there are all these reasons why the people keep onto the things, which is really interesting.
This one woman on the show lost her husband in a car crash and she refused to get rid of any of his stuff and grew so depressed she didn't clean the house for 6 months and things grew out of hand!
It was really sad, but the hosts of the show helped the woman at least get her stuff back in order so she wouldn't have to worry about those kinds of things.
Watching shows like that really makes me think about being nicer to people. Not being so judgmental towards others but also putting your foot down when you see that something is wrong and doing something about it!

  • They're popular instruments. I was a wicked good flute player until my flute broke, and I had to get a new one, which had a bigger thing-a-ma-jig on it to blow into, and it screwed me up so much. ToT;

@Mei: Oh I watched some of those shows. Geez, the stuff people keep around... I remember an episode where a lady didn't even know what half the stuff in her garage was.

@Keeyats: I hate it when you have to change instruments. It takes you a while to get use to it. x_x

  • I never changed, but I know some of the kids in our school band play two or three different instruments.

    I can't imagine that. I had enough time getting a high F on the flute... I could never play more than one instrument.

Oh man, yes!!! I went off to college and forgot about a lot of the stuff I owned. When I got back, I realized I'd been keeping all this stuff I was either emotionally attached to and didn't need (old childhood things that were really cute and had fond memories attached but I was grown and didn't need them anymore) or stuff that I had forgotten I had completely!!

I got rid of SO much when I first got back! Like bags and bags of clothes and items! I only regret getting rid of ONE thing! That's not bad at all! :)

I think I got a little too addicted, though. Now I want ALL of my stuff to go except maybe the stuff that I fit into my tiny little dormroom. ^^;

My friend tried to pinch me at school yesterday, but then I showed her the inside of my jacket was a dark green and she went to terrorize somebody else.
