I've always thought it was funny that so many people get worked up over a misinterpretation. End of an ERA, not the destruction of the world. And yes, this is probably as good a point as any to mark the end of the Y2K decade-ish. Started with end of the world prophecy, had one mid point, and ended with one.

I could use a vinegar flamethrower for the germs in my house. Everyone managed to get a nasty cold/bronchitis all about the same time in my house and we're all miserable.

on the upshot - if the world does suddenly end, I won't have to take that next dose of sinus crap that tastes so bad. I can't even taste things properly and it STILL tastes naaaaaaassty.
