Yeeaaaah DON'T GO OFF TOPIC - what you're doing is spam now if there was any question left in your mind. ^^; Just post it in one post please. I have like 2-3 conversations with you right now in different posts because of the spam.

@Aiyana - Heya. ^^ Whats up?

Well, like Alexi said, post long non-spammy messages, risk on cards (if you're able to), be active on the forums, or you can make a shop? :3 It's pretty much basic posting if you do not want to play games or use a shop. (:

  1. Technically, every conversation in this thread would be off-topic, if it's non-relavent to Saint Patrick's day. xD

No, I meant, he just randomly went on a tangent in like 3 different posts without replying to anyone. Thats off topic of the conversation and just talking to yourself. o_O

Alexi - About to take off for a nap to be honest. ^^; My throat has been giving me a ton of grief lately so I'm hoping a little rest will help take my mind off the pain. How are you? I really do hope the site stops giving you so much trouble. <3

Aside from my real life, the artist friend who donated my vday stuff decided to quit Mene yesterday so she gave me her hairpin too. ._.;; She's still going to be around to post sometimes but she's probably not going to be active.

Ahh gotcha, yeah I should too. But I just got let online, apparently even manually reconfiguring my DNS didn't work and I had to wait the usual 24 hours before I could actually get in. ._. So thats why I'm on.

*sigh* Stupid boots, really annoying ya know? ._.

Thats cool that you got donated V-day stuff! I was wondering if the Hairpin was yours, cuz I figured I didn't see your siggie say it was a loan. So neat. o_o Congrats and I hope that your friend can stay at least to chat sometimes.

witchhh. xD Hey what's up. :D
rofl. god knows i'd like to get donations easier. but alas. xD i can't. haha.
many artists are popular because of their skills though. LOL.

Hehe I've survived another thunder & lightning on rainy day. XD What about you?

I know some artists who draw something close to stick figues but getting quite high bids because s/he are very friendly and have big social circle, so yeah there are those too.
But I see two type of this kind of people, one who doesn't care about the art they made but still do it because s/he know their popularity would cover it enough to sell, and the other one who know they're not really god but would try to do it seriously and hoping whoever bid it would really appreciate their effort to draw....

Yeah so I thought about using a proxy but I don't know how. ._. But that really blows that you can't get to the bank. I actually ended up getting fed up and asking some friends of mine to log in as me to check on the situation, and to make a bit in the art forums.

XD *Is sorta part of the latter group and is just drawing stuff for free as he tries to improve*

But then again thats also including artists that don't have super-high bids.

EDIT Though you do have to know that there are artists that are really awesome and want to improve still and don't really care about the bid price, and do the art for their own fun as well as the money.

Sorry to hear that, Alexi. :< I was lucky in that it loaded about 10 minutes after it went back up again. I know Azure, however, didn't come back online for 2 hours and it would've been longer except he found out he only had to reset his router.

And thanks. ^^; I was thinking of maybe donating one of the vday items since she gave me a set, but I don't know if she'd be okay with that. Not to profit or anything, mind you, just a kind gesture since she's been so kind to me on the site.

She doesn't want to get herself addicted to an avatar site since she had issues with overloading herself on Gaia. I think it's understandable since she's putting her real life priorities over an avatar site. ^^

That last one really depends in my opinion. If you're really well known for being popular AND rich, then you're probably not going to get a ton of donations from people unless they're trying to suck up. >>;;

Well when you're popular and rich, just by saying something like "ok I really want xxxx item, someone buy it for me!" or "I'm putting my very personal item (hello virtual panties/boxers!) on auction with super high AB!" often someone bound to give in and play along. Even in the name of friendly fun, in the end that person will have bigger chances to get what they want.

Yeah see my connection is a college connection so there isn't much I can do, and its campus-wide...the problem I mean, whenever it occurs. Its whenever the server goes offline or changes servers or whatever it has to do - I wind up having to wait a day or MORE than a day to get back in. ._.

Donating to someone shouldn't be a problem I think, since you already had one of the copies for yourself right? ^^ I think that would be kind and a nice thing to do. Make sure it goes to someone that deserves it though and is gonna be active. :3

Yeah I know what you mean and I understand her logic. o_o For me, I wish I could do that but sadly I can't. But right now I'm just addicted to drawing. XD And thats okay by me.

It's pretty rare to be that level of popular from what I hear, but I see what you're saying. I'm just not much of a believer yet since I've never seen it. xD

LOL Well, not all popular people are assholes like that. I didn't really use my popularity for anything on Gaia, I'm just naturally flamboyant and outgoing so people tend to come to me. Even if noone knows me, I respond to absolutely everyone and I think thats a really good turn on for that. Lord knows I didn't start out popular here, but maybe that will come about. I don't really think it necessary to envy people that are more popular than me, maybe Yume for example is more popular and can get more stuff on this site than me, and who cares? I'm all about personal growth and personal gains, not worrying about other people's. XD The only good thing I love about popularity is you always have someone to talk to when you're down. Thats about it for me.

I can point out a couple of users, but at the same time I do not want to "name drop." >_> They're on Gaia though.

Well by set, I meant she donated all the items to make one set, not an extra set. ^^; So no extras sadly...

I'll probably ask her if it's okay to do so. Otherwise I'll probably just concentrate my gold earnings to helping someone else get their dream vday item.

As an ex-exchanger, I know its usually just exchangers. And even with popularity comes like, enemies and stuff. Cuz you often get the jealous people and people who don't understand the popularity, its just a big mess really. I do know of a few people who took advantage of popularity, or rather, just people's generosity. But on the whole, most people are focused on their own goals, and so if the popular person really didn't do anything for them, they aren't likely to do something for that person. Its a give/take relationship really. You have to have done a favor for someone there to become popular, and it goes up the ladder.
